In a post on X (earlier on Twitter) this week, tipster MysteryLupin claimed that the ROG Ally X's price tag isー799,な100 higher than the existing version. That's a relatively steep price hike, given that Screen and APU are expected to be identical. Asus has previously confirmed that the ROG Ally X will have at least 40% battery and upgraded memory options, but the exact specifications have not yet been revealed.
Interestingly, according to MysteryLupin, AMD's RYZEN Z1Extreme processor is only available in 1 configuration and seems to come with it. That's unlike the existing ROG Ally, which offers AMD's Ryzen Z6 processor with a Radeon integrated GPU with 4 cores and 4 compute units forAMD499, the RYZEN Z1Extreme, which offers 2 additional CPU cores and 8 additional GPU compute units for約699, will improve performance by about 25 percent. Leaker also confirmed information he already knows, including a handheld 7-inch display, a 120p panel at a 1080hz refresh rate, and a black appearance.
This is not so surprising given that Asus has positioned the rog Ally X like an update to ROG Ally with more enhanced specs than a true sequel. For that same purpose, leaker claims that the ROG Ally X will pack a 1TB SSD and increase the capacity of the existing ROG Ally models by 2 times.
Of course, all of this remains speculation for now, as Asus is due to officially unveil the ROG Ally X at Computex on 6/2. But we're excited to see how Asus handles its follow-up to one of the best handheld consoles.
