1 of the Best Crime thrillers You haven't Seen Yet Crashed Netflix Top 10

Watch on Netflix When you're looking for a new one, the top 10 list of the most watched movies on the streaming service is a great tool to start your search. Now, a new addition is quickly rising through this ever-changing ranking: Paul Feig's hit 2018 crime thriller "Simple Favor.""It's a great time to wrap up the campy twists and shocking reveal of this movie before the sequel comes out.

After making its Netflix debut last weekend (May 19), "A Simple Favor" soared to No. 10 in the Netflix top 1 earlier this week, still sitting pretty in the US. Joining the stars of "Pitch Perfect" and "Trolls" is Blake Lively, and as more secrets are revealed throughout the film, the duo do an excellent job of building up tension.

If you need more details, here's everything you need to know...

Based on a 2017 book of the same name, "Simple Favors" stars Kendrick as Stephanie, a widowed mom vlogger who becomes best friends with her son's schoolmate, Emily (lively)'s charming but secretive mother. The two instantly connect despite their differences and become fast friends.

But when Emily disappears suddenly one day, Stephanie is forced to take matters into her own hands to get to the bottom of her friend's disappearance and things begin to unravel as she reveals more about Emily's past and learns that she is not the person she claims to be, and the two BFFs soon plot and murder .

From "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig, "Simple Favor" is a seriously fun crime thriller. It has everything you'd expect from the genre: campy twists, shocking reveal, and a fascinating mystery at its core. What sets it apart is a dark sense of humor — more "Heathers" and less "perfect pitch" thinking — a double female lead and a vibrant color palette.

Honestly, Netflix couldn't add "easy favors" at a better time. Filming for the sequel is expected to begin in the coming weeks, according to the Hollywood Reporter. That said, learn more in the coming months about the casting (Lively and Kendrick are expected to reprise their roles), the general plot, and the release date

If you enjoy crime mystery movies, "simple favors" are definitely worth watching. It does not give too much and continues to guess what will happen next. If you like "Gone Girl", you should definitely check this out, as critics drew comparisons between the 2 when it was first released.
