For iPhone fans looking for an inexpensive new iPhone, there are indications that the fourth-generation iPhone SE could be released in early 2025.

In a recent Power On newsletter, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said that Apple plans to release the iPhone SE 4 as early as early 2025, making it the first new model since the iPhone SE 3 released in 2022. According to Gurman, the new model will be similar to the iPhone 14, but will feature a sharper OLED display that will extend across the entire device. We don't know what the price will be, but if Apple can keep it under $500, the iPhone SE 4 could be one of the least expensive phones on the market.

Garman also stated that the iPhone SE (2025) will likely feature some Apple Intelligence. Given that most iPhones cannot run Apple's new AI, this would be a major selling point. This suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will have at least 8 Gb of RAM and the same A17 chip found in the iPhone 15.

There are currently many rumors circulating about how the iPhone SE 4 will improve upon the iPhone SE 3. For example, some believe that the new version will have a 48MP main camera, which would be a significant upgrade over the SE 3's 12MP one. We have also heard that the iPhone SE 4 will replace the Lightning connector with a USB-C port and may feature the same solid-state action buttons as the iPhone 15 Pro.

Meanwhile, Apple Intelligence is promising some upgrades to all phones that can run it. For example, it comes with a much-improved Siri that can maintain a conversation and even understand what is on the screen; Apple Intelligence also brings a wealth of new image generation options, including the ability to create your own emoji with Genmoji. However, Apple will likely begin charging a subscription fee for some of the AI features, perhaps as part of the new Apple One subscription. [Affordable smartphones are an important part of the cell phone market. The goal is to offer some of the best features at the cost of others. the idea that the iPhone SE 4 will even offer some AI features is great, but Apple needs to make sure it doesn't come with a hefty price increase.
