Forget OLED TVs - this new triple laser projector can project a 150-inch image at 3,000 lumens brightness

In keeping with its vision of "big screen, big value" for its 2024 TV lineup, Hisense is bringing to market an exciting new ultra-short-throw (UST) projector with 3,000 lumens of brightness, Dolby Vision support, and up to 150 inches.

Called the PX3-Pro, Hisense's new projector could rival the best OLED TVs, if the numbers are accurate. Following the Hisense PX2-Pro, it uses the TriChroma triple laser and is powered by a Hisense-designed LPU digital laser engine.

Hisense claims that the PX3-Pro sets a "new standard for visual excellence" and boasts AI image enhancements that improve image quality in real time, including brightness enhancement, noise eradication, and contrast level correction.

Hisense's next UST product, a laser projector that will be released for the first time this year, will be available in Q3 2024 for $3,500. We won't know for sure until we get it in our hands and test it, but this will definitely be the best projector we've ever seen.

Hisense is making great strides in the laser projector field and is looking to revitalize the situation with a new product designed for moviegoers; the PX3-Pro has a number of features that set it apart, rivaling OLED TVs.

The PX3-Pro is a triple laser UST projector that delivers vivid color and contrast despite the lack of a dedicated screen. Hisense claims to be able to reproduce up to 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut, a serious claim given that many TVs struggle in this area. As an example, Hisense's U8K Mini-LED TV achieves only 80.41% of the BT.2020 color gamut.

Support for Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, and HDR10+ is a plus, allowing for unparalleled picture quality in a variety of movies and programs. The PX3-Pro also has a potential brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, so there is no need to use it in a dark room.

It wouldn't be an enthusiastic laser projector without serious range; the PX3-Pro can project images between 80 inches and 150 inches diagonal, making this unit potentially ideal for those who want to get the largest, widest image possible on the market. the PX3- Pro's refresh rate is only 60 Hz, but that is more than adequate for gamers who want to play Stellar Blade on a 150-inch screen.

The PX3-Pro also works with Google TV, allowing instant and easy access to your favorite content. Priced at $3,499, it is comparable to UST projectors such as the Formovie Theater and the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800. Stay tuned for a full review.
