Most earphones on the market are thrown away when something goes wrong. When the battery stops charging, they are thrown away. Fairphone hopes to solve that with Fairbuds, which the company describes as the most repairable earbuds on the market.

Instead of having to get a replacement when something goes wrong with even the best wireless earbuds, Fairphone actually makes them repairable. This means that you could be the last pair of earphones you have to buy, a pace that is quite different from all the other major brands.

According to Fairphone, Fairbuds have seven different parts that can be replaced if something goes wrong. If necessary, the earbud battery, the silicone ring, the ear tips on the earbuds, the outer shell of the charging case, the core of the charging case, the battery in the charging case, and the actual earbuds can be replaced.

Happily, not only are these repairable, but the company offers a three-year warranty. In other words, you may not even need to take advantage of their repairability, as Fairphone is confident that they won't break for a long time.

In the unlikely event that you misplace one of the earbuds, the company allows you to order just one replacement without having to purchase a complete set of new earbuds. For those who tend to lose things, this could save a lot of money.

While it's nice that the headphones are repairable and long-lasting, they should also sound great. Fairphone has solid specs that rival other high-end models: 11mm titanium-coated drivers, three microphones per earphone, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth multipoint, Bluetooth 5.3, IP54 rating, ANC 5 hours battery life with on, up to 26 hours with case, and an app to equalize sound.

Unfortunately, Fairbuds are not available in the U.S. to begin with. The company has not announced any plans to release the earbuds in the U.S., but given the company's delay in launching its phones, it is possible that they will be available at some point; Tom's Guide contacted Fairphone to inquire whether the company plans to release them in the U.S.
