According to a recent teaser, Motorola will release another member of the Edge family on April 16.

Motorola posted on X to confirm the April 16 release and released a teaser image of the next device. The post shows off what appears to be a leather texture under the headline "Intelligence meets art." This reference to art is also repeated in one of the tags labeled #smARTphone, while another tag suggests that the phone will be part of the Edge family.

Few details are available as to which phones will be released, but there is speculation that three new models will be added instead. We recently saw the Edge 50 Pro released in India, as well as the flagship Motorola Edge 50 Ultra (which could also become the Edge 50 Pro), and there are rumors about a Fusion model

The Edge 50 Ultra is an AI phone Aside from the claim that the Edge 50 Ultra will be an AI phone, confirmed specs are limited. However, there is some confusion about this, as some reports indicate that the Edge 50 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. We are told that the phone will feature a 50MP main camera, a 12mm ultrawide, and a 72mm 3x periscope zoom lens.

We know more about the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which has already debuted in India. The phone includes a 6.7-inch 144Hz OLED screen, a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3x zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide. A big push for this device is the pantone-graded screen, which is claimed to be the first of its kind and promises better photos and visuals. Finally, the device includes several AI features, including AI-enhanced images and AI stability assist.

The final device, the Edge 50 Fusion, has little information other than a video released by noted leaker Evan Bless; GSMArena says it will only feature a Snapdragon 6 gen 1 chip and dual rear-facing cameras.

For now, there is little we can do other than wait for Motorola's announcement. However, Motorola is going to have a very interesting 2024. In fact, the Motorola Edge Plus (2024) could beat out all other flagship phones this year. We will keep you posted as soon as an announcement is made.
