Google Offers Your iPad for Up to $450 for Pixel Tablets

Google wants you to buy a Pixel Tablet. The search giant will trade in your iPad for up to $450 if you buy it as a smart display/tablet hybrid model from the Google Store. Even if you have an older iPad (within the last few generations), Google will offer you much more trade-in value than it has traditionally offered.

Google will also pay more for Samsung devices as well as iPads. If you buy a Pixel Tablet with your trade-in, Google will pay at least $250 for your iPad or Samsung tablet. On the higher end, you can get $450 for a newer model like the iPad Pro (6th generation).

Google will give you $250 for an older model like Apple's iPad (6th generation) or Samsung's Galaxy Tab S6. You will be hard pressed to find anywhere else that will offer this much for such an old tablet. If you have the latest iPad Pro and don't want it anymore for whatever reason, you can trade it in for $450.

In our review of the Pixel Tablet, we gave it a respectable 4 out of 5 stars. We were big fans of the dock and the fact that the tablet can find a secondary purpose when not in use as a smart home hub.

"The Google Pixel Tablet is a good tablet to have around the house - especially with the speaker dock/charging station. But if you're looking for a laptop replacement, you should look elsewhere," the review said.

It's not a perfect tablet, but if you can trade in your old iPad or Samsung device and get at least half of that, it's a much better value proposition. Anyone looking for something different should definitely consider this deal. According to Google, the high trade-in ends on April 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. We don't know how much Google will reduce the trade-in price after that, but we are just a few days away from a decision.
