This MagSafe RGB cooler is like a gaming PC fan on an iPhone!

It takes a lot of check marks to be a gamer-approved product, and Redmagic has met many gamer check points with the VC Cooler 5 Pro. With its brilliant RGB lights, it may be at the top of the gamer-approved checklist. It's also MagSafe compatible, so you can keep your iPhone cool while you're melting down your enemies in Call of Duty: Mobile.

According to Redmagic, this liquid-cooled cell phone attachment can quickly lower the temperature of a smartphone to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) and down to -12 degrees Celsius (10.4 degrees Fahrenheit) below freezing. If you've ever gotten into gaming on your smartphone, you know how hot it can get, so a product like this is a good thing to have.

It is compatible with all kinds of phones, but most notably it is MagSafe compatible, which makes it a cooler that works with recent Apple iPhone models. If your phone does not have a built-in magnet to secure the cooler to the back, Redmagic includes a magnetic sticker that can be placed on the phone to add magnet capability. There is also a far less elegant clip option. This method requires the use of a cable for power.

For Android phones, there is an app called Gooper that uses Redmagic's AI Thermal Control feature to optimize the phone's cooling. Unfortunately, this app has not been released for iOS, so iPhone owners will need to adjust the cooling manually.

One of the biggest drawbacks, which is immediately apparent, is that having a bulky cooling unit on the back of the phone changes the way it feels in the hand. To hold the phone without the cooler getting in the way, one would need to change the way one grips it. We have commissioned a review unit from Redmagic to test how it feels for ourselves, but it is definitely something to keep in mind before deciding whether to purchase.

On the plus side, the cooler's shape can also be used as a smartphone stand. In a press release, the company states that it "can be easily attached to a device or used as a phone stand, ensuring optimal cooling without compromising user comfort."

The new Redmagic cooler will be available for $59 on April 15 in the US, EU, UK, and other regions from the company's website.
