Pre-release renderings and specs of the Nothing Phone 2a have been released by OnLeaks and Smartprix Based on what we are seeing, Google's Pixel 7a should be a concern

This is not the first time OnLeaks has claimed to have a Phone 2a design However, after previous iterations were proven false and further information was sourced, he is confident that these renderings now properly represent the real thing

Like other Nothing phones, the 2a has a very distinctive design, with a dual camera at the top center of the back panel that looks like a pair of goggles Below the main glass back is a decorative panel with an intricate design, surrounded by three "glyph lights" These appear to be a limited version of the full Glyph Interface offered by the Nothing Phone 2, but are expected to offer customizable notifications for apps in a similar fashion

Looking at the front, the Nothing Phone 2a has flat metal sides and a similarly flat display, with a punch hole at the top for a selfie camera The Phone 2a shown in these renderings is a dark gray color version, but we expect a white version as well

There are also some alleged specs of the Nothing Phone 2a, also obtained from Smartprix The following are the rumored ones

Supposedly offering a 67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000 mAh battery, and 45W charging, the Phone 2a puts some flagship Android phones to shame with its size and perhaps speed And although it has only two rear cameras, its dual 50MP sensors outperform some of today's best budget phones, such as the Google Pixel 7a, Samsung Galaxy A54, and perhaps the Pixel 8a and Galaxy A55 that will replace them

The mystery here is the performance of the Nothing Phone 2a Offering up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is quite generous, but we don't yet know how powerful the Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset is

The obvious drawback in these specs compared to rival phones is dust and water resistance; the IP54 Nothing Phone 2a will be less resistant than a typical IP68-rated premium phone

Currently, Nothing is listing the Phone 2a for a March release, but we may see it in person for the first time next week at MWC 2024 However, next week's MWC 2024 may be its first unveiling
