The 2024 F1 season will kick off with the Australian Grand Prix (March 22-24). Max Verstappen (Ferrari) won the opening two races of the season, and his dream of winning his fourth F1 world championship has taken a big step forward.To watch the F1 live stream from abroad using a VPN, see below.

Verstappen finished 22.457 seconds ahead of Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez in the 2024 F1 season opener in Bahrain, with Carlos Sainz Jr. in third place. The margin of victory (13.643 seconds) was a bit less in the last Saudi Arabian GP, but the Flying Dutchman still had Perez and Ferrari (this time Charles Leclerc) in tow.

Heading into the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne's Albert Park, the dominant champion appears to be on track to break yet another record. While Verstappen's victory at this circuit last year is still fresh in our minds, Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, and Charles Leclerc have also won at this circuit in the past.

The return of the Chinese GP brings the 2024 F1 calendar to a whopping 24 races, with three triple-headers in late June and early July potentially deciding the title race. Also, the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Grand Prix will return on November 23, pending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina on December 8.

All sessions will be broadcast live and free of charge on Servus and ORF in Austria and RTL Zwee in Luxembourg.

The 2024 Australian Grand Prix will be streamed for free on 10 Play in Australia.

Those lucky enough to live in Austria or Luxembourg will enjoy free live streaming of all 2024 F1 races.

The free-to-air broadcaster "RTL Zwee" in Luxembourg will broadcast all races, while in Austria "Servus TV" and "ORF" will share the rights. In Austria, "Servus TV" and "ORF" will share the broadcasting rights. If there is no access to these TV stations, RTBF in Belgium will also televise races that are broadcast on ORF.

In the U.S., some races are available for free to those who have access to ABC's broadcasts.

But what if you are normally based in one of these countries but not at home for a particular F1 live stream? Maybe you are on vacation and don't want to spend money on pay TV in another country when you can usually watch it for free at home.

Don't worry - you can watch via VPN instead. Here's how to do it.

This season's F1 live streams are usually shown on the ESPN network. However, some races will be broadcast on ABC instead.

There are several ways to access ESPN and ABC, two of which have been voted one of the best streaming services.

ESPN is available on most cable packages, as are cable TV alternatives such as Sling TV, Fubo, YouTube TV, and Hulu with Live TV.

It is also possible to stream F1 races through the ESPN app or the "Watch" section of ESPN's website. However, in order to watch all sessions, you must have a satellite, cable, or live TV provider certification.

If you have access to the ESPN Plus sports streaming service, you can watch 18 races. The cost is $10.99/month, $109.99/year, or can be included in a Disney Plus bundle starting at $14.99/month.

If you don't want to pay for ESPN's live coverage in any way, the best option is F1 TV Pro. This is F1's own official F1 live stream service, which uses feeds from Sky Sports F1 as well as ESPN's own broadcasts.

F1 TV Pro costs $10.99 per month, or $99.99 for the 2024 season, a much better deal given that there are 24 races this year. In addition, you can watch Formula 2, Formula 3, and Porsche Supercup races, as well as an archive of classic F1 Grand Prix races.

Also, if you are normally based in the US but not currently in the US, you can still watch the services you already subscribe to via a VPN such as NordVPN.

Sky Sports will air all F1 live stream action in up to 4K resolution throughout 2024. The British Grand Prix in 2024 will be available for free on Channel 4.

To watch F1 live streams in 4K, you must be a Sky Sports subscriber; Sky Sports packages including the F1 channel are available from £20 per month (regular Sky TV subscription also required).

A cheaper option is to purchase a Now Sports membership, which costs £34.99 per month to watch all 11 Sky Sports channels. However, this service does not offer 4K, so you will have to watch "Ted's Notebook" in Hi-Def instead.

Again, if you are normally based in the UK but are currently elsewhere, you can still watch the services you subscribe to via one of the best VPN services.

In Canada, TSN broadcasts all F1 live streams in English, while RDS broadcasts in French; F1 TV Pro also remains an option for fans looking for F1 live streams.

All sessions are broadcast on TSN, and if you receive the network through a cable or satellite provider, you can sign in with your television service credentials to use TSN Go. Cord cutters will want to check out TSN Plus, which comes with one-day and one-month passes for $8 or $20 Canadian dollars respectively; the TSN app allows you to stream live F1 races from your cell phone, streaming box, or compatible device.

Currently, the service is not actually available in Canada; with NordVPN and a VPN service, you can access the services you already subscribe to.

Fox Sports has the rights to air the F1 live stream in Australia, and all the action is available online via Foxtel; the 2024 Australian Grand Prix weekend (including the race) will be available for free on 10 Play.

Kayo Sports is another option, with one-month subscriptions starting at $25 after a 7-day free trial. Or, for an additional $5, you can watch F1 live streams in 4K.

And with one of the best VPN services, you can follow the action from your home country even when you are elsewhere.
