March 2024 will be another busy month for new video game releases. Over the next few weeks, here are some of the new titles coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and PC.

The month kicks off with the latest installment of the popular annual sports franchise, but even if sports aren't your thing, the second half of March is packed with games that will appeal to gamers of all types: the PS5-exclusive samurai game "Rise of the Rōnin," Princess Peach in a Switch game The first of its kind on the Switch, "Rise of the Rōnin" is a PS5 exclusive. Plus, there's the highly anticipated "Dragon's Dogma 2" and "South Park: Snow Day," as well as the acclaimed PC game finally coming to consoles.

The first two months of the year have seen the arrival of several new games not to be missed, and March looks to continue that trend. The latest installment of the WWE 2K franchise hits the ring this month. With the 40th annual Lesslemania just around the corner, it is no surprise that WWE 2K24 has a mode dedicated to the world's biggest wrestling showcase, Lesslemania.

Of course, the WrestleMania XL arena is included in the game, but WWE 2K24 also celebrates the best moments from the past 40 years of WrestleMania. 2K Showcase of the Immortals" mode features the WWE's most superstars and their iconic moments. Playable matchups include the legendary Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan match from 1988 and Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels.

WWE 2K24 is not just about Lesson Mania, but also new match types (including Casket, Gauntlet, and Ambulance matches), two different MyRise career modes, Unleashed and Undisputed, and the popular MyFaction and MyGM WWE 2K24 is set to be the ultimate simulator for wrestling fans, with an impressive roster of current and former icons.

In addition, the annual sports game MLB The Show is the most realistic and authentic baseball simulation on any platform

"MLB The Show 24" significantly improves the on-field gameplay experience, adding nearly 400 new animations and making players' reactions to key moments more realistic. In addition, new first base delivery and pitcher movement have been added to further improve player control across the diamond, and Show24 should be the most realistic digital version of baseball that the long-lived franchise has ever offered.

It is not just the core gameplay that has been enhanced in MLB The Show 24. The popular Diamond Dynasty mode has also been upgraded, and community feedback has been incorporated to further refine the online mode.

The MLB The Show franchise has built a very enthusiastic community, and avid baseball fans will have already placed their pre-orders. However, this 2024 entry in the series will also serve as a great introduction for those new to baseball.

It's been 20 years since Princess Peach has starred in her own game (her last solo adventure was "Super Princess Peach" on the Nintendo DS in 2005), but that changes this month: but exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

This family-friendly adventure game begins with the monarch of the Mushroom Kingdom attending a performance at the Sparkle Theater. But when the venue is invaded by evil forces, Princess Peach and Stella, the theater's guardian, team up to save the day.

Princess Peach: Leans heavily on a theater-inspired setup, as each level is set on a literal stage, complete with cardboard backdrops, props, and stage lighting. Instead of moving through each level on platforms like Mario, Peach gains new abilities by donning different costumes. The various costumes include a swordsman, detective, kung fu, etc.

Princess Peach is often given a supporting role in Mario games and used as motivation for plumbers to chase the sinister Bowser, so it's great that this new Switch game can put the spotlight on Nintendo's leading lady and focus on her.

Platform PS5

Developed by Team Ninja and available only on PS5, Rise of the Rōnin is an epic action RPG. Early previews of the game described it as "Souls"-like, but with three difficulty settings, players can find the perfect level of difficulty to their liking.

Set in an open-world recreation of 19th century Japan, Rise of the Rōnin aims to provide a rich cinematic narrative that focuses on the Boshin War, also known as the Japanese Civil War. The Boshin War is a complex conflict but provides a fascinating backdrop, and the game's narrative reportedly incorporates player choices at key moments to shape the story.

The map appears to be quite large, with several historical cities to explore, including Yokohama and Kyoto, as well as the surrounding countryside. With grappling hooks and gliders available, getting around should be fun. Team Ninja also excels at creating satisfying combat systems, and "Rise of the Rōnin" appears to be no exception. It features a dynamic combat system that allows players to use sharp swords as well as powerful firearms.

If the expansive open world and blockbuster campaign are not enough, "Rise of the Rōnin" also offers a four-player online co-op mode. It's going to be a very content-rich game.

The first Dragon's Dogma, released in 2012, was a bit of a cult classic. Often described as "Skyrim meets Dark Souls," the game allows players to explore a vast fantasy world and enjoy challenging battles with monstrous enemies. It also featured its own "pawn" mechanic, allowing players to customize their own companions and share them with the world for extra XP.

A full sequel has been long overdue, and after more than a decade of waiting, Dragon's Dogma 2 arrives this month. Its core concept is much the same as its predecessor: you are unleashed onto a huge map crawling with giant monsters, with a small group of customizable pawns to follow and defeat them. However, this sequel aims to strip away the rough edges of its predecessor and offer a more engaging main scenario.

One of the key systems in Dragon's Dogma 2 is called "professions." This is essentially a character's class, with RPG staples such as Thief and Mage, as well as unique options such as Trickster and Mystic Spearhand. Mastering one's chosen profession is the key to victory over the world's most dangerous enemies, each offering a different play style.

South Park: Snow Day is a sequel to the well-received RPGs The Stick of Truth and The Fractured but Whole It is not a sequel. Rather, it is a new co-op game that will appeal to fans of vulgar anime.

After a massive blizzard hits the town of South Park, school is cancelled and Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny and friends engage in a massive fantasy role-playing session to pass the time. In terms of gameplay, it is a 3D action brawler with tons of enemies and epic bosses. You can team up with up to three friends online and fight with melee and ranged weapons, along with special abilities and power-ups.

Unlike the aforementioned South Park RPGs, which offered a story-focused experience, South Park: Snow Day is likely to focus on chaotic gameplay. However, the show's unique comic tone will be very much present, and there will be plenty of Winklem quotes.

From the makers of "Planet Coaster" comes "Planet Zoo," a game in which you build your own personal wildlife zoo and earn enough money to keep your guests happy and your collection of exotic animals growing, with the right It is a management simulation that challenges you to find the right balance.

"Planet Zoo" was released on PC in 2019, and after five years of patches, improvements, and post-launch expansions, the menu and UI have been redesigned for the controller, finally coming to consoles. From day one, Planet Zoo: Console Edition has featured quite a few animals, from fearsome predators to docile creatures. And it will be your job to create a habitat that suits their individual needs.

Planet Zoo can be played as you like in four modes. The career mode allows you to complete tailor-made scenarios, while the franchise mode allows you to build a dynasty of interconnected parks. The Sandbox mode removes all restrictions and allows you to create at will, while the Challenge mode requires you to create a fully functioning park within your budget.
