With the arrival of spring comes a slew of new shows premiering this week on Netflix, Prime Video, and other streaming services, as well as on broadcast and cable television.

Leading the lineup of new shows are the family thriller "Apples Never Fall," the political campaign drama "The Girls on the Bus," and the Lincoln assassination miniseries "Manhunt." In addition, the fan-anticipated "Girls5eva" and "Invincible" make welcome returns. The top new shows this week are as follows.

Amazon's other dark superhero series returns for the second half of its second season. Part 1 was a bonanza, although it ended with a massive cliffhanger that frustrated fans. Part 2 begins with the continuation of the storyline: the Omniman, Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons), is scheduled to be executed and his son Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) was injured by General Clegg. After his recovery, he will face further family dysfunction, new enemies, and a familiar foe bent on revenge.

Author Liane Moriarty's novels have been adapted into some of the most talked about shows of the past few years - such as "Big Little Lies" and "Nine Perfect Strangers" and others. The next film, also a thriller set in suburbia, stars Annette Bening and Sam Neill as a former tennis coach who has sold the academy and is looking forward to enjoying his golden years with his four adult children (Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Connor Merrigan-Turner, and Essie Randles) The play. But everything changes when an injured young woman knocks on their door. Then Joy suddenly goes missing, and the family's dark secrets begin to surface.

Adapted from Amy Chozick's best-selling book "Chasing Hillary. Sadie McCarthy (Benoist) is eager to get back on the campaign trail and prove herself after being embarrassed in the last presidential election. Grace (Carla Gugino), Laura (Natasha Behnam), and Kimberlynn (Christina Elmore) are her main rivals on the bus. Despite their disagreements, they bond over having a front-row seat to the biggest soap opera of all: the battle for the White House.

Netflix rarely saves shows these days, but thankfully "Girls5eva" (formerly Peacock) is an exception. In Season 3, the girl group, no longer a one-hit wonder, has finished recording a new album, Returnity, and takes the next step ...... Comeback Tour. Dawn (Bearies), Wicky (Goldsberry), Summer (Phillipus), and Gloria (Pell) have no plan or venue in mind, but they still get into a van to go on tour. Along the way, they play at a billionaire's birthday party, sow their oats, and cross paths with the biggest pop stars on the planet. But they also have to question whether they really want to be "big". - KW

This hit medical drama is still going strong; after 20 seasons, most of the original cast has long since departed. Even Ellen Pompeo, the lead actress, has taken a step back, remaining in a recurring role. But as they say, out with the old and in with the new ...... The. In Season 20, comebacks are all the rage, with Arizona Robbins (played by Jessica Capshaw) and Nico Kim (played by Alex Lundy) returning to the hospital. In the premiere episode, a major cliffhanger is resolved when Teddy (Kim Raver) falls to the floor during surgery.

As one dad TV show ("Masters of Air") ends, another begins. It tells the remarkable story of one of history's best-known yet least understood crimes: the search for John Wilkes Booth after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Tobias Menzies plays Edwin Stanton, Lincoln's Secretary of War and friend who leads the pursuit of Booth (Anthony Boyle). He is joined by a stellar cast including Matt Walsh as the scheming doctor Samuel Mudd, Lili Taylor as Mary Todd Lincoln, and Glenn Morshower as Andrew Johnson.

The long-running drama, now in its 13th season on PBS (and already broadcast in the UK), premiered in March 1969 when Rosalind Clifford (Natalie Qualley), Joyce Hyland ( Renee Bailey) and four other new midwife apprentices arrive at Nonnatus House. Living among the nuns was a bit of a culture shock. Poplar was coping with the epidemic of home births with the support of the Sisters, but the Sisters faced their own challenges, including poor housing conditions and health issues.
