Xbox Series X Tipped at e3 2021 to Reveal 4 Huge Exclusives

After being canceled last year, E3 will return in 2021. Since Microsoft has yet to announce a major next-generation console-exclusive game, this showcase would be the perfect platform to announce a blockbuster title for the upcoming Xbox Series X. And one industry insider may have just revealed what it's all about.

Noted leaker Klobrille dropped a few tidbits to ResetEra, and "Halo Infinite," "Starfield," "Forza Horizon 5," and "Age of Empires 4" should be announced at Microsoft's show this summer Klobrille added the caveat that while these four games will be announced at E3 2021, not all will be released this year.

"The Halo/Starfield/FH5 trifecta is coming.... If you add Age of Empires IV to the mix, I'm sure it will be a AAA four-way this summer, whether or not those four actually release this year," Klobrille said in the forum.

"Halo Infinite" was slated to be the launch title for the Xbox Series X, but was delayed after it was criticized for failing to meet fan expectations for next-generation games (we all remember Craig.) 343 Industries will release a new "Halo" this fall to be released this fall.

Meanwhile, gamers are probably most interested in Microsoft's "Starfield" plans following the ZeniMax acquisition. Aside from the platform exclusivity/timed exclusivity issue, "Starfield" could be released this year.

On Twitter, Klobrille commented on Starfield's copyright notice for 2021, emphasizing: "Does the fact that Starfield will be released this year mean that *something* will happen?"

If so, Starfield could be released this year.

Even if the announcement is not for a 2021 release date, we can at least expect new information about the game.

Digging deeper, Klobrille mentioned the setting of "Forza Horizon 5" and noted that it will not be in Japan as some rumored.

In another ResetEra post, Klobrille stated: "I agree with Jeff Grubb on this and expect FH to appear this summer. Also, we may have an idea about a non-Japanese location, but that information didn't work out very well for the last FH4, so we'll leave that to the team!"

He stated.

Jeff Grubb has stated that "Forza Horizon 5" will not be set in Japan. Given that many industry insiders have told us the same information, one could say that there is some truth behind this leak. However, until official information comes out, as always, take it with a grain of salt.

Sony has already begun rolling out next-gen exclusive titles for the PS5, and gamers are eagerly awaiting Microsoft to catch up; Returnal is one such game, launching this Friday, April 30; see a preview of Returnal here.
