GTA5ps5 and Xbox Series X Release Dates Revealed

Christmas came early for fans of GTA 5 and GTA Online. That's because Rockstar has given players a ton of information, including release dates for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions.

The "enhanced and enhanced" versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X on November 11, the official Rockstar blog confirmed. It was also reiterated that PS5 players will have exclusive, free access to the standalone version of GTA Online for the first three months after launch.

Not much else is known about GTA 5's port to next-gen consoles, but strangely enough, this will be the third generation of consoles the game will be released on: first released on PS3/Xbox 360 in 2013, refreshed for PS4/Xbox One in 2014, and seven years later this fall will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The blog does not directly address whether users who currently own "GTA 5" on PS4 or Xbox One will receive a free or discounted upgrade to the next-gen version. This is fairly common for games that have recently been released across multiple generations, but based on Rockstar's track record, it seems unlikely in this case.

The blog post also presents a fairly extensive list of updates and additions that will be added to "GTA Online" this year. These include fan-requested additions as well as items that celebrate past installments of the series.

On May 27, eight new stunt races across multiple vehicle classes will be added, which Rockstar promises will deliver "a host of white-hot thrills." Immediately following that, the Tron-inspired Deadline mode adds seven new areas bursting with neon lights and the chance to obliterate your opponents. Survival mode (like "GTA Battle Royale") will also be expanded later this year, adding new locations in Los Santos and Blaine County.

Along with these new maps and courses, there will also be new cars to steal and plenty of opportunities to earn huge GTA dollars with new heist missions. Perhaps most exciting, however, is the teaser at the end of the blog post, which promises "fun surprises" in honor of the 20th anniversary of "GTA III."

While this blog post is primarily dedicated to "GTA 5" and "GTA Online" news, fans of Rockstar's "Wild West" series have not been forgotten. Red Dead Online will also be packed with fresh content in the coming months.

Eight new races will be added to the online game, including a new open race where players set their own course to the finish line. In addition, target races will be added. While on horseback, shoot through checkpoints with a bow and arrow. These new races will be available on May 25.

A major summer update will add a new mission to the game, in which players will work with Angelo Bronte's trusted second-in-command, Guido Martelli, in the dirty city of San Doni. Red Dead Online was recently added to the Xbox Game Pass, and with all this additional content available, now is the perfect time to give the game a try.
