E3 2021 is all about gaming, but Razer reminds us that hardware is a big part of the show as well. This year Razer will show off three new gadgets: the Razer Blade 14 laptop, the Razer Raptor 27 monitor, and the Razer USB-C GaN charger; all three are stylish and functional gadgets, designed with Razer's unique aesthetic.

Tom's Guide attended Razer's virtual briefing and received an in-depth walk-through of each device; Razer then showed the Blade 14, Raptor 27, and USB-C GaN to the public via a live stream at E3 2021. A recording of this can be found on YouTube:

Arguably the biggest announcement in Razer's E3 2021 lineup is the Razer Blade 14 gaming laptop; Razer claims the Blade 14 is "the world's most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop," and based on the specs that It may well be true. The full-featured Blade 14 comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, 1440p screen with 165Hz refresh rate, 1TB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM.

Admittedly, this is not as powerful as the Razer Blade 15 or Razer Blade 17, but the Razer Blade 14 is significantly smaller than those two models, measuring 12.6 x 8.7 x 0.7 inches and weighing 3.9 pounds excluding the charger.

The Razer Blade 14 is not cheap either: the least expensive variant with an RTX 3060 GPU and 1080p screen costs $1,799, while the above version is $2,799. there is also an RTX 3070 version for $2,199. The system can be ordered now at Razer.com.

The older version, the Razer Raptor 27, is one of the best gaming monitors we've reviewed, featuring a sturdy design, a gorgeous color palette, and an ingenious cable system. The new version of the Razer Raptor 27 has all of this in addition to a 165 Hz screen and THX certification for color, tonality, and image quality. Like its predecessor, the new Raptor 27 features a 2560 x 1440 QHD screen.

A new Raptor VESA adapter has been added to this model of the Raptor 27. This adapter allows the Raptor 27 to be easily attached to a VESA mount, allowing the Razer monitor to be hung on a metal arm of your choice. This could be very useful for creative workers and gamers with multi-monitor setups.

The Raptor 27 will be available in Q3 2021 for $800; a VESA mounting adapter will be available at the same time for $100.

The Razer USB-C GaN Charger may not be the most exciting name in the world, but this product has the potential to make charging gadgets much more efficient. GaN stands for Gallium Nitride, a semiconductor that helps charge electronic devices quickly and The Razer GaN charger has two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports that can distribute up to 130W of power to four devices.

At $180, this device is probably too expensive if you just want to charge your phone every night before bed. But if your smartphone, tablet, wireless gaming headset, and USB-C laptop all need power at the same time (not entirely impossible if you travel frequently), it could save you time and grief.

The Razer USB-C GaN charger is available now, and we'll be picking one up in person to see if it makes a big difference if outlet space and charging speed are your biggest concerns.
