Xbox Series X Replenished in GameStop Stores Today - What You Need to Know

The next restock of the Xbox Series X may be offered by GameStop.

This is according to a tweet from GameStop, referring to today's in-store restocking. Meanwhile, PS5 and Xbox Series X restock tracker Matt Swider of sibling site TechRadar reports that there is already a line at GameStop; GameStop has sent a vague email saying that the PS5 is in stock, but Swider has been in New York stores and obtained more concrete information.

Swider discovered that GameStop restocks the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S from the time the store opens.

However, one should expect long lines and limited inventory; according to Swider, several GameStop stores posted their Xbox Series X and Series S inventory last night, and "the numbers show" that there are about 14 units of the former and 8 units of the latter.

And GameStop is expected to offer these consoles in bundle form, which will be priced at $650 before tax. Also, since it will be one per person, it will not be possible to purchase a Microsoft machine for a friend.

For those who worship at the temple of PlayStation, Swider reported that there will be no restocking of the PS5 today, even though GameStop is expected to have plenty of Sony game consoles in stock. For updates on where to buy the PS5 and online For tips on how to secure a console, check out the PS5 Restock Tracker.

If you can't get to a physical GameStop store, you may be out of luck. However, Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon often restock the Xbox Series X. For more tips on how to secure an Xbox Series X or PS5, see our tips here.

Also, judging by the Xbox and Bethesda showcases at E3 2021, the Xbox Series X appears to be a console worth the legwork (or hand labor if buying online) to get one.
