GameStop PS5 Replenishment Over - Where to Look next

Update: GameStop in-store PS5 restocking has ended; see our PS5 restocking guide for the latest information on where to find the PS5.

In what may be the last in-store PS5 restock in 2021, PS5 consoles are available for purchase today at select GameStop stores. Almost certainly, this will be the last chance this year to purchase a PS5 in person.

GameStop has updated its store locator tool to see if your local retailer will be participating in this restock. Note that not all GameStop stores will have the game in stock, so check in advance to avoid disappointment.

Additionally, this PS5 in-store restock is only available to PowerUp Rewards Pro members. You can register at GameStop via this link. News of this restock originally came from console tracker Lord Restock.

This PS5 restocking will begin at each store's opening time (as early as 8 a.m. local time), but eager shoppers are expected to begin lining up for the console much earlier than this.

As has become a staple of GameStop's PS5 restocking, the console will only be sold in bundles; GameStop bundles are usually sold at face value and include the PS5 disc itself, an additional DualSense controller, one or two of the best PS5 games, a third-party GameStop always charges the combined retail price of the bundles, so they are never marked down.

If you don't have a GameStop near you or prefer to purchase your console online for the New Year, bookmark the PS5 Restock Hub for updates in the coming weeks. While we can't guarantee the machine, it will make the task of finding a next-generation console a little easier.

In early June, GameStop announced a change in the way it handles restocking of game consoles: members of PowerUp Rewards Pro will be given priority, and the company will also be offering a free restocking tier, which will be available to members of the PowerUp Rewards Pro program. There will be a free tier, but only Pro members will be the first to get restocks. Membership starts at $14.99 per year and includes a subscription to Game Informer, a $5 monthly rewards coupon ($60 total per year), an additional 10% trade credit for games/accessories, and a $5 welcome certificate. Sign up today and you'll have access to the restock.
