Now that Microsoft has announced the full specs and feature set for the Xbox Series X, when will the PS5 be available? That seems to be the question many PlayStation fans are asking.

Reddit user Vit52 posted a thread on the PS5 subreddit regarding Xbox Series X specs, stating, "I wish Sony would release some information about the PS5. Meaning? Sony fans want more information, and they want it soon.

The Smart Delivery feature for the Xbox Series X was a big topic of discussion in the thread, as it allows users to purchase Xbox One games and automatically enjoy an upgraded version of the Xbox Series X for free. If Sony does not offer a similar service and forces people to buy enhanced versions of PS4 hits like "Uncharted 4" and "Spider-Man," the PS5 could be in big trouble.

There are also concerns in the PS5 community about the specs.

"Is anyone really worried now?" wrote user cmd_1211.

"According to a leak on github, the PS5 specs are 9 teraflops," referring to the Xbox One X's power advantage over the PS4 Pro.

Several users have even mentioned that they are considering switching to Xbox in this next generation, citing the powerful Series X specs, including a 12 teraflop GPU that offers twice the power of the Xbox One X.

For some fans, the big Xbox Series X news has taken the excitement away from the eventual PS5 announcement.

Will the PS5's specs rival the beastly Xbox Series X? We may soon find out, as Sony is rumored to be planning a March announcement, but with the company's recent withdrawal from PAX East, GDC, and E3, the console giant's plans may be up in the air. Either way, now that the Xbox has thrown down the gauntlet, this year's holiday console wars are likely to be more interesting than ever.
