Persona 4 Golden Just Hit Steam: How to Get It Now

The plan is ...... I love it when things come together quickly. Persona 4 Golden will be officially announced at PC Gaming Show 2020, but just before that, it was a surprise release on Steam. Tweeter Wario64 broke the news.

Yes, this cult classic has finally found a place to play outside of PS Vita. Available now starting at $19, "Persona 4 Golden" is a PC-only release, so JRPG gamers with Macs will need to get their hands on Boot Camp or find a Windows 10 machine from our best laptops list.

"Persona 4 Golden" takes place in the quiet Japanese town of Indaba, where you'll make friends as the town's new student amidst the eerie phenomenon of mysterious deaths linked to TV broadcasts and foggy weather.

Personally, I've been waiting for years for the critically beloved P4G to be released on a platform other than the Vita. If it's anything like Persona 5 Royal, which I have now played for 117 hours, it will have been worth the wait.

There is also a $25 digital deluxe edition, which includes a digital art book and soundtrack.

As Atlus states in the trailer above, the Steam version of P4G features remastered HD graphics and both English and Japanese audio.

Atlus is fresh off the release of Persona 5 Royal, and that game will live up to the expectations of Persona fans who have yet to play P4G. The "Golden" version of the Japanese RPG Persona 4 is packed with a lot of new content and characters; according to Redditors, it took between 69 and 100 hours to complete P4G.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy and download Persona 4 Golden while I watch the rest of the PG Gaming Show.
