Vizio's newest 4K TVs are beginning to hit dealers, with low prices and features that gamers should take note of. More fun will follow, with the brand's first OLED TVs and Elevate Sound Bar expected to arrive later in the fall.

The entire Vizio 2020 TV lineup (which the company calls the 2021 family) promises 4K resolution, HDR support for multiple formats (Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG), and HDMI 2.1 ports. The latter features make Vizio's new TVs the perfect choice for the next-generation PS5 and Xbox Series X game consoles coming this fall.

Vizio 4K TVs currently available include the affordable entry-level V Series, which offers the aforementioned features for as little as $230 for the 40-inch V405. There are also mid-range M-series and high-end P-series 4K TVs, which offer larger sizes and more advanced features. The new sets and the redesigned V-series soundbars are available at Amazon and Best Buy.

And more are coming in the next few months, including Vizio's first OLED TV, its most impressive set to date, priced competitively at $2,000 for the 65-inch and $1,300 for the 55-inch. $2,000 for the 65-inch and $1,300 for the 55-inch. The P-series Quantum is expected to be available in the fall. In the fall, the P Series Quantum X 85-inch model and the Elevate soundbar will also debut.

In addition to the release of new 4K TVs, Vizio has updated its SmartCast platform to improve speed and performance. Older model (2016 and newer) TVs will also be upgraded; the SmartCast mobile app has been redesigned with a sleek new look. In addition, more apps will be available, including Apple TV, Movies Anywhere, and (later this summer) the Peacock streaming service.

The new Vizio TV will feature IQ Ultra and IQ Active processors, and the new ProGaming Engine will support 4K resolution at refresh rates up to 120Hz to enhance gamers' graphics.

Vizio offers its TVs in three series at different price points. The lower-priced V series has screen sizes ranging from 40" to 75" and prices from $229.99 to $799.99.

The mid-range M series adds features such as dimming zones that double the previous model, producing superior contrast and deeper blacks. The Amazon-exclusive MQ8 Quantum model boasts 90 local dimming zones and 800 nits of peak brightness and costs $550 for the 55" and $750 for the 65".

The flagship, high-end P Series Quantum X set has a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits: $1,499.99 for 65 inches, $1,999.99 for 75 inches, and $2,999 for 85 inches. The standard P Series Quantum set, on the other hand, has a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and up to 240 local dimming zones: $1,199.99 for 65 inches and $1,699.99 for 75 inches.
