PS5DualSense controller will appear in the new photo — here's your best look yet

Photos of the PS5 DualSense controller were released on Twitter courtesy of a Twitter account called Gamezawy.

And the images give us the best look at the next-generation PlayStation controller in action. Last week, a photo was posted on one of the gaming forums showing the controller in hand, but it was taken at a tricky angle, making it hard to tell how big the controller is.

This new photo, taken from an overhead view, shows that if this photo is real, the DualSense controller may be more compact than it first appears. In fact, the DualSense controller looks like a cross between the PS4 DualShock 4 controller and an Xbox wireless controller. It retains the former's button and joystick layout, but has the latter's thick, angular shape.

The touch-sensitive panel found on the DualShock 4 controller also appears slightly taller and narrower on the DualSense controller. Sony has stated that the controller will feature a "Create" button that looks like an evolution of the DualShock 4's "Share" button, and may make more extensive use of the touch-sensitive panel, which was not used much on the PS4.

In this new photo, the dual-sense controller looks much cleaner. Compared to Sony's official photo, the flashy two-tone color scheme seems rather subdued. The controller's blue lighting strip is not illuminated in the photo, so it is not clear whether it will be a subtle accent to the controller or a potential distraction when playing games in a dark room.

Overall, this controller appears to be an interesting evolution over the DualShock controller. And the DualSense with improved tactile feedback, along with 3D audio, ray tracing, and ultra-fast load times, could be Sony's new way to make the next generation of games more immersive. in November, when the PS5 launches in time for the holiday season, more details will be revealed.
