Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Price just leaked — here's what you'll pay

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 2 is already a much improved phone, but here's what makes it even more special.

The Fold 2's starting sale price of £1,799 was found on a Samsung store page in the UK (via Android Authority). Samsung later removed the price from the store page, but not before Android Authority took a screenshot.

Converting this price directly to USD would put it at $2,386, which is almost certainly inaccurate due to regional pricing differences between the two markets.

However, compared to the original Galaxy Fold, this may actually be cheaper. That model is priced at 1,899 pounds, or $1,980, which means that the Fold 2 will be £100/$100 cheaper, even though it appears to be a more capable phone.

There is only one storage option, 256GB. If previous rumors are correct, it will be paired with 12 GB of RAM. There are two colors to choose from: Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze, which we have already seen in person on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and found beautiful.

The Fold 2's display has other upgrades. Not only are the internal and external displays larger than the original, but the internal display supports a 120 Hz refresh rate.

On the back is the same trio of 12MP cameras that Samsung included in the Galaxy S20. This is a combination of a main, ultra-wide, and 3x telephoto sensor, which should be enough for most people. However, it does not include a time-of-flight sensor for improved photo effects or Samsung's top camera technology like the 108MP main sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra or the 5x optical zoom telephoto camera on the Note 20 Ultra.

The official release date for the Fold 2 will be September 1, "Unpacked Part 2," after Samsung initially teased the device at an Unpacked event in August.
