The iPhone 12, which is expected to be released around October, will feature several upgrades. Apple is betting big on its success and has reportedly ordered 75 million 5G-enabled handsets to be ready by the end of this year.

Bloomberg reports that demand for the next-generation iPhone will be high, despite the global coronavirus outbreak wreaking havoc on supply chains and economies. As a result, Apple has asked its suppliers to produce the same number of iPhone 12 devices as iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

This report confirms many of the iPhone 12 upgrades we have heard about through various leaks, also ranging from two new Apple Watch models and the new iPad Air to Apple's over-ear headphones and the smaller HomePod, He said to expect several other new Apple products this fall.

Apple has confirmed that it will unveil four iPhone 12 models, including new 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch models. The larger device is said to be called the iPhone 12 Max.

In addition, Apple will unveil two iPhone 12 Pro models, one 6.1-inch and one 6.7-inch; according to Bloomberg, all models will feature OLED displays with "improved color and clarity," but only the iPhone 12 model with 10-bit color, supposedly offer a 120 Hz refresh rate, we are told.

We can also expect an updated design with "square edges" similar to the iPad Pro. The sides of the regular iPhone 12 model will be made of aluminum, while the iPhone 12 Pro will be stainless steel. As we have heard before, the new color of the iPhone 12 Pro will be dark blue.

Bloomberg has also confirmed other major upgrades to the iPhone 12 line, including a new faster and more efficient A14 processor. Apple is also preparing a LiDAR sensor to improve augmented reality performance, but this may be limited to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

As previously reported, Apple is said to be planning to stagger the launch of the iPhone 12, with a less expensive model going on sale before the more premium iPhone 12 Pro.

In short, the iPhone 12 lineup is likely to be a more solid upgrade than the iPhone 11 lineup, and could be a real draw for those who have made do with iPhones from a few years ago. Some may be disappointed that the display notch is unlikely to be slimmed down, but improvements to Face ID are reportedly planned to compensate.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is reportedly preparing a new iPad Air 4 that will offer an edge-to-edge display similar to the iPad Pro. iPad Air has already been the subject of many leaked information about the iPad Air, including a manual that seems to confirm the design.

The iPad Air is said to have an 11-inch display and may feature a new A14X Bionic chip for improved performance. Other leaks point to a USB-C port for charging and accessories and a Smart Connector for attaching a Magic Keyboard. However, one leak suggests that Apple may decide to put Touch ID on the power button, so the new iPad Air may not feature Face ID.

The leaked iPad Air will be priced at $649, which would be cheaper than the iPad Pro's $799. If the specs are legitimate, it could be one of the best tablets of the year.

We already knew that the Apple Watch 6 was coming, but Bloomberg reports that the new Apple Watch lineup will include "a successor to the Series 3 that competes with lower-priced fitness devices like Fitbit."

The Apple Watch 3 currently costs $199 and is one of the best smartwatches for those on a budget. However, it faces new competition such as the Fitbit Versa 3, which costs $229 and features a six-day battery life along with built-in GPS.

We've already seen leaks of the Apple Watch SE, but have been told not to expect it until March 2021.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is preparing its first over-ear headphones outside of the Beats brand, called AirPods Studio according to the leak. According to previous reports, the new headphones will offer active noise cancellation and should be a contender for the best noise-canceling headphones, priced at $349. Also expected is a retro design with head and neck detection, an equalizer, and interchangeable ear pads.

Finally, Apple is preparing a small HomePod speaker. The first model was far from a hit, in part because shoppers preferred Alexa and Google Assistant over Siri. The current model costs $199.
