We had expected the Galaxy Note 20 FE to appear, but a possible leak may have accidentally confirmed a follow-up to Samsung's Galaxy S20 FE.

The Romanian site Androidu.ro found the name of this phone listed within the HTML of Samsung's Brazilian site. The writer says that this may be an error on Samsung's part. However, we hope it was an unintended indicator that the phone's arrival is imminent.

The writer also noted that the phone's display is 6.5 inches. This is smaller than the 6.7" Galaxy Note 20 and the 6.9" Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but the same size as the S20 FE. This model will also have the same three cameras as the S20 FE, but is imagined to be differentiated by the more angular design of the Galaxy Note series and the trademark S Pen stylus.

When Samsung announced the S20 FE, it mentioned that it plans to add more "fan edition" phones in the future. This leak is not out of the blue, as we immediately suspected it meant the Note 20 FE.

The S20 FE will lose some premium features compared to the basic S20, such as QHD resolution, glass back, less RAM, and several different cameras. However, the overall package is exactly what one would expect from an entry-level flagship. It's something Apple's new iPhone 12 lineup can't compete with, and now Samsung is expanding this lineup, which will help boost its dominance in this area. [This year, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, the spiritual ancestor of the Note 20 FE, was introduced in January. Perhaps we should expect to see the Note 20 FE at a similar time in 2021.
