The OnePlus band has just leaked - here's your first look

The first images of the OnePlus Band have leaked, revealing the Chinese tech company's commitment to fitness-focused wearable devices.

Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings on Twitter) showed off black, gray/orange, and blue-colored versions of OnePlus' upcoming fitness tracker; while the OnePlus Watch is coming, the OnePlus Band could be a new smartwatch to compete with some of the best fitness trackers currently available.

Formed around a small portrait-oriented touchscreen, the OnePlus band has a shape familiar to those who have used the Fitbit Charge 4. and not a cloth one.

The Band's $40 price and Q1 2021 release date were leaked a few days ago; surprisingly cheap compared to current leading models like the $150 Fitbit Charge 4 and $75 Fitbit Inspire. Additionally, the Band is said to have an AMOLED screen, a long-lasting battery, and will be waterproof. [On the other hand, there is the more expensive OnePlus Watch. In addition to fitness tracking, this wearable will be powered by Google's Wear OS and could offer a richer feature set. There are no rumored prices for this watch at this time, but based on the prices of its rivals, it is likely to be somewhere in the $300-$400 range.

The OnePlus Band will reportedly launch in January or early February before the company's new OnePlus 9 flagship phone launches, first in India, one of OnePlus' largest markets, but will hopefully be available to US and UK buyers at the same time or slightly Hopefully, it will be available to US and UK buyers at the same time or a little later.

As for the OnePlus Watch, one can expect the Watch to be announced at this event, as OnePlus phones are usually launched in April.
