Now you can carry your AirPods Pro in a small leather briefcase

The AirPods Pro and AirPods Max now have a new case option from leather goods experts Pad & Quill. This could be especially good news for AirPods Max owners: the Apple headphones are among the best over-the-ear headphones money can buy, but the accompanying smart case doesn't always match their design.

In particular, Pad & Quill has created the AirPods Max Max Pro Case, a full-grain leather pouch lined with ballistic nylon. For smaller earbuds, there is also the Little Brief AirPods Pro Case. This is an attractively sized small leather briefcase that holds both the buds and the plastic charging case.

As cute as the Little Brief is, it even has a small carrying handle to hook onto a key ring or carabiner; the Smart Case protects the ear cups, but the mesh headband is exposed to the elements.

The Pro Case also includes strategically placed small magnets that are necessary for the AirPods Max to enter low-power mode inside. Since the headphones are notorious for not having a power button, the main means of saving battery power, unless you leave the AirPods Pro completely untouched for a while, was to slide them into the Smart Case and let the case's magnets sense them and put them into low-power mode. Thankfully, the Pro Case can do that as well.

There is also an internal pocket for carrying a charger, which can be connected to the AirPods Max to charge the headphones through a separate access port.

The Little Brief is also made of genuine leather (there is no vegan alternative), but is naturally less advanced. Still, if you own the wireless charging model of the AirPods Pro case, you can charge through the leather.

The catch is that neither of these AirPods cases is inexpensive: the Little Brief costs $50, while the AirPods Max Pro case costs $130. Considering that the AirPods Max costs $549 on its own, it's a significant investment, but it may be worth it to better protect your headphones and make them more stylish.
