Hello Strands fans! This was a bit of a tricky piece Not only does the “I think it's covered” theme apply to many things, but some of the responses seem very US-focused
In fact, I had to use a clue to get the first word on the board after many failed attempts; since HOOD was revealed, I guessed this was about something else being covered
But then UMBRELLA came up and I realized it was about garments especially suited for rain SLICKER followed, and I followed the letters RAIN from left to right to spell out the RAINGEAR spangram
By sheer coincidence, I had already cleared the top half of the board, leaving three words in the bottom half
PONCHO was the first word on the bottom left, but neither of the last two are common words, so it took some trial and error; GALOSHES is certainly one I've heard of, but GAITERS is not familiar to me at all
Tricky! Hopefully tomorrow's puzzle will be easier
