What would the list be without “Doctor Who” as the first choice? It's such an iconic and famous show that most people won't need an explanation, but for those who somehow have never seen (or even heard of) “Doctor Who,” I'll gladly give you a brief introduction as to what the show is about.
“Doctor Who” is a British science fiction television series that began in 1963 and features the Doctor, a mysterious Time Lord who travels through time and space aboard the Tardis, a ship resembling a British police box. Because the Doctor can regenerate, he can be played by more than one actor. For example, when the show was rebroadcast in 2005, it continued the “rule” of having a new Doctor each season. In season one, Christopher Eccleston played the role, and David Tennant took over the role in the following season.
Accompanied by a human companion, the Doctor goes on various adventures, solves problems, and battles iconic villains like the Daleks, Cybermen, and the Master.
“Doctor Who” remains an important part of global pop culture and is perhaps the greatest time-travel show of all time.

“Life on Mars” brings something new to time travel while masterfully blending science fiction, crime drama, and mystery Lieutenant Sam Tyler (John Simm) is hit by a car in 2006, and in 1973 He awakens in 1973. Confused and disoriented, Tyler finds himself working for Manchester and Salford Police and living in a very different world than the one he knows.
In 1973, Tyler must adapt to a society with outdated policing methods, a more exclusionary workplace, and different social norms. His new boss, Gene Hunt (Philip Glenister), embodies the rough and ready policing style of the time, which often clashes with Tyler's modern sensibilities. As Tyler works to solve the case, he tries to make sense of his predicament, wondering if he has traveled back in time, is in a coma, or is experiencing some sort of mental breakdown. All he knows, however, is that he must find a way to return to his own time.

One of my colleagues recommended “Russian Doll” as a “razor-sharp, wickedly funny, time-bending trip series.” It tells the story of a cynical New Yorker, Nadia Vrbokov (Natasha Lyonne), who is stuck in a time loop, repeating her 36th birthday party over and over again. Each time she dies, she inexplicably returns to the party and begins the night anew.
Nadia embarks on a journey to understand what is happening to her as she repeatedly experiences her death and the re-setting of the night. Along the way, she meets Alan Zaveri (Charlie Barnett), who is also trapped in a time loop. The two try to figure out how to break the cycle and unravel the mystery behind their predicament.

“Dark” is a German thriller series that will probably blow your mind with its complex blend of time travel, family secrets, and existential questions. The story begins in the small town of Winden with the mysterious disappearance of two children and uncovers the hidden connections and dark pasts of four families: the Nielsen, Doppler, Tiedemann, and Kahnwald families.
As the series progresses, a complex story involving time travel over several generations from 1888 to 2053 is revealed. The discovery of a wormhole in the town's cave allows people to travel back and forth between different eras, and a series of events occur that affect the town's history and future.

“Timeless” is another popular show about time travel. Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer), a history professor, Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter), a soldier, and Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett), a scientist, to stop a mysterious organization called Rittenhouse from altering history for their own benefit. and is recruited to travel through time.
Using a stolen time machine, the team travels through different historical eras, trying to prevent changes that could have devastating effects on the present and future. If you like this very entertaining time travel show that combines action and historical drama, you'll love it.

Now, here's a show that's a bit more romantic. Outlander is based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon. The main character is Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a WWII nurse who mysteriously travels back in time from 1945 to 1743 Scotland.
There she becomes involved in the Jacobite uprising and meets the dashing Highland warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). The series follows Claire's struggle to understand and navigate the dangers of the 18th century as she struggles with divided loyalties between her life in the 20th century and her love for Jamie. If you're looking for a time-slip, yet slightly romantic tale, “Outlander” is definitely the film for you.

The 2024 reboot of “Time Bandits” is a comedic adventure series that reimagines the 1981 cult classic film. The show follows 11-year-old Kevin (Kal-El Tuck), a history buff who joins a group of time-traveling thieves on a thrilling and humorous quest. Led by Penelope (Lisa Kudrow), this rag-tag team of thieves embarks on misadventures across various historical eras with the goal of saving Kevin's parents and foiling the plot of villain Pure Evil (Jemaine Clement).
With a talented cast, including Taika Waititi in the role of the Supreme Being, and a blend of fantasy, history, and comedy, “Time Bandits” brings fun to both new viewers and fans of the original film.
