Max's Top 10 - Here are 3 shows worth watching now

We consider Max to be one of the best streaming services you can subscribe to right now. But even the best streamers can sometimes have a little difficulty figuring out what to watch.

It may be tempting to refer to Max's top 10, but as with any streamer's top 10 list, there is no guarantee that the most popular shows are the best that the platform has to offer.

Here at Tom's Guide, we've taken a look at the Max Top 10 list (as of 8am on July 8, 2024) and highlighted three that are absolutely worth streaming right now. Now that we are halfway through the second installment, it should come as no surprise that one of them is "House of Dragons" Season 2. The latest trip to Westeros is likely to hold the top spot for a while, but there are still some great shows to watch.

"House of the Dragon" Season 2 returns to Westeros for another brutal conflict. The first chapter depicted the reign of King Viserys and the splitting of the House of Targaryen into two factions, the Green and the Black.

In Season 2, the Seven Kingdoms are on the brink of being drawn into that conflict. The lords have sworn allegiance to either Aegon II or Queen Rhaenyra (Viserys' successor), and with the "Dance of Dragons" in danger of starting in earnest, many lords will no doubt be drawn into the coming war.

Now halfway through the series, it remains a must-see TV show so far. It is not likely to disappear from the Max Top 10 anytime soon.

"Suicide Squad ISEKAI" will transform a group of DC Comics villains into animated characters. In this show, Amanda Waller's group of criminals (here consisting of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark) leave the city of Gotham and head through a "gate" into a fantasy world (hence the anime subgenre "Otherworldly" (hence the title of the film).

In the other world, the squad is captured by soldiers and caught up in this world's war. Being stuck in this alternate plan is a big problem for the group, though. As programmed by Suicide Squad, the villains have small explosives implanted in their necks, and if they do not return home within 72 hours, the bombs will detonate.
