If you've ever wanted to use Suno to create music while away from your computer, you're in luck. This generative AI app can create complete songs with lyrics and vocals, or instrumental songs, from text prompts or just your own sounds.

Initially available only for iPhone in the US, Suno says it will be available in the future for other regions and Android, with some "fun updates."

According to the App Store listing, in-app purchases are available for the Pro and Premier plans, which also work with the web version. Also see our guide to making music with Suno.

Suno is one of the most powerful AI music generation models on the market, capable of creating a wide variety of styles, genres, and sounds. This and concerns over the data used for training have led to a legal battle with the music industry.

If you're worried about apps taking power away from creators, we spoke with Keenan Freyberg, co-founder of Suno, earlier this year.

"We're not trying to make music better, faster, or cheaper. We're always trying to explore whole new ways of experiencing and engaging with music."

That doesn't stop Suno from getting into legal battles with the music industry, but according to the company, it is forbidden from using its tools to create music that resembles or mimics real artists or use lyrics from real songs.

One of the goals of generative AI music is as much to compete with the music industry as it is to quickly send songs to friends and loved ones, and iPhone apps make that aspect even easier.
