As a big fan of "Fallout," I had high expectations for Prime Video's take on the post-apocalypse series set in a 1950s-inspired future. And I am happy to report that I was not disappointed. The eight-episode first season of "Fallout" is packed with references for keenly observant fans, stunning production design, classic songs from the game, and the blend of emotional gut-punch and irreverent humor for which the series is known.

The story is divided into three protagonists: Lucy (Ella Purnell), a bright-eyed, sheltered vault dweller who leaves the only home she has ever known. Maximus (Aaron Morten) is a paramilitary "Bonds of Steel" recruit desperate to rise through the ranks; Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) is a Hollywood star who survived the first nuclear explosion and is now a mutated, gun-toting outlaw; and the two protagonists are the only two people who have ever known each other. Their paths become intricately entwined as they unravel the true purpose behind the vaults, which are billed as humanity's safety net.

Critics have compared Prime Video's sci-fi western "The Outer Range" to a cross between "Yellowstone," "Stranger Things" and "Lost." Its recent second season has proven to be a hit, earning a 92% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Josh Brolin stars as Royal Abbott, a Wyoming rancher fighting for his land and family after discovering a mysterious black hole in his backyard. Then things take a turn for the paranormal.

A drifter named Autumn (Imogen Poots) starts a camp on his land and proposes a theory about what is going on. Royal and his wife Cecilia (Lili Taylor) struggle to hold their family together after a devastating disappearance.
