OnePlus13 Rumors — Everything You Know So Far

The launch of OnePlus12 earlier this year may still be fresh in your mind, but attention is already starting to turn to OnePlus13. If OnePlus follows its recent release schedule, the new phone could arrive by the end of the year (at least in China), with a broader launch in early 2025. So, of course, is already underway on the successor of one of the best Android phones currently out there.

Indeed, our OnePlus12 review shows that there are acts that are difficult to follow on a new phone. The OnePlus12 has made some notable improvements to the flagship OnePlus device with a better periscope telephoto lens, a brighter display and the return of wireless charging. With many premium features available on phones that are cheaper than comparable devices like the IPhone15Pro and Galaxy S24Plus, the OnePlus12 has honed oneplus's reputation as a phone maker if you're not completely satisfied with the likes of Apple and Samsung.

So how does OnePlus continue to build that momentum? Based on what the first rumors began to surface, here's what we know so far about OnePlus13:

OnePlus began the launch of its new flagship phone in late May 12, and the device debuted in China ahead of the New year. For example, OnePlus12 debuted in China in 2023-12-6 and rolled out globally after 1 month. In the US, OnePlus12 was launched on 2/6.

We haven't heard yet about the release plans for OnePlus13 via the rumored factory — it won't happen until we go further that year. However, there is no reason to assume that OnePlus will deviate from that schedule, which will be released in China in 2024-12 and will be launched globally in the first 3 months of 2025. As for the price, OnePlus12 had a listing start price ofド799, but the trade-in offer reduced its cost toー699, consistent with what the phone maker charged OnePlus11. It's unclear at the moment whether OnePlus will be able to keep the price of the OnePlus13 in the same range, as some phone makers have struggled with rising costs for the components. For now, except for rumors of a new price, we're assuming something betweenと699 andと799.

Brar expects OnePlus13 to have a micro quad curved display with the top and bottom of the display curved like the right and left edges. (In most cases, curved displays only have curved sides.Honor Magic6Pro has this kind of display, but it's not common, so the OnePlus13 may stand out in its features.

Recently, the Android Authority discovered a Weibo post that OnePlus13 is a flat display covered with curved glass on all 4 sides to create a bezel-free look, the same leak behind that claim also suggests that OnePlus will use 2K OLED panels for its next flagship.

Rumors of an early OnePlus13 suggest that the phone's appearance, or at least the placement of a camera array on the back of the device, has been modestly changed. In the last few models, OnePlus is using a circular array and it seems that it will continue to use the OnePlus13. But tipster Yogesh Brar's post shows a drawing in which the OnePlus13's camera array has moved to the center of the phone. (It's right on the left side of OnePlus12. The same post suggests that OnePlus will use a rectangular array for its oneplus12R successor, the OnePlus13R. (Some posts on the Chinese site Weibo suggest that the OnePlus13's camera array will also be rectangular, but I'm not sure if these tipsters confuse the flagship with the R model.

The camera has been an area where OnePlus has made considerable profits thanks to its partnership with lens expert Hasselblad. In our tests, the OnePlus12 proved to be the best camera phone OnePlus has ever made. That phone features a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a telephoto lens that can support 64mp 3x zoom

It doesn't sound like a massive overhaul is planned. According to the Android Authority, a poster on Weibo, known for its digital chat station, claims that OnePlus will improve its periscope-style telephoto lens a bit.

The point to note is whether the camera function changes are not leaked. Hasselblad helped improve the color and low-light photos of the recent OnePlus flagship.OnePlus12 focuses on upgrading portrait mode. We will look at what the two companies are planning for the image processing capabilities of OnePlus13.

OnePlus uses the leading Qualcomm system-on-chip on its flagship phone. For OnePlus12, that means Snapdragon 8GEN3, which helped the phone stay in step with the Galaxy S24 family. It is therefore widely assumed that OnePlus13 will turn into Snapdragon 8gen4, as claimed by Yogesh Brar.

That Silicon has not yet been announced, but Qualcomm has confirmed that it will debut on May 10. The early Snapdragon 8gen4 specification suggests that the new chipset should bring significant performance improvements to upcoming Android devices, including OnePlus13.

With the Oneplus12, you don't have to worry about the battery life of the Oneplus13. The current OnePlus flagship has won a spot on the best phone's battery life list by lasting 17 hours and 41 minutes. Only the other 18 devices we tested in the last 4 months have surpassed that. (One of them was OnePlus12R)

If you want something to worry about, consider a claim from Weibo's Digital Chat Station that appears to suggest that wireless charging will not be supported by OnePlus13. This would be quite a reversal from OnePlus, which restored wireless charging to the oneplus11 after removing it from the oneplus12.

Digital Chat Station suggests that the 6,000mAh battery will continue to power on the oneplus13, an upgrade from the OnePlus12's 5,400mAh power pack.

OnePlus13 is still in its early stages, so many additional rumors can be expected from now until the end of the year. But between the new camera layout, the huge battery and the power of the Snapdragon 8gen4, there's already a lot to be excited about for the next OnePlus flagship.
