Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 just leaked in the "official" image - here's your first look

We found that the new "official" promotional images for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are the way to SlashLeaks. Compared to the actual image of the Z Fold6 that was leaked earlier this week, we see more of the phone's appearance.

Promotional images that appear to be scheduled for Kazakhstan based on website links and Russian lettering show that the z Fold6 and Z Flip6 halves are folded, revealing the camera housing and external display of the z Flip6. There's also the Samsung Galaxy AI brand, but this isn't a big surprise as AI is invading all phone devices this summer.

There were conflicting rumors that the Z-Fold 6 camera was the same as the Z-Fold 4 and Fold 5 cameras. We also hear that the camera housing is different from the more protruding lenses.

From this promotional image, it looks as if the camera housing will be the same with the triple camera arrangement. But without the accompanying text, I'm not sure if the camera is seeing a big change internally.

Similarly, the Z-flip 6 shown in the image looks the same design as the Z-Flip 5. Some renderings show a slightly thicker Flip 6, perhaps for a larger battery, but based on this only image it

the Flip 5 introduces a larger 3.4-inch exterior display, and Samsung has added it up to 3.9 inches for the Z Flip 6. It has been reported that the company is trying to bump the stock market, but it is hard to determine whether it will be realized based on this image.

The camera housing of the Z Flip6 also looks the same as the Z Flip5. However, there is a hint that internally it will go from a 12MP main camera to a more rugged 6MP sensor for the z Flip50.

Reportedly, Samsung is working on 2 variants of Z Fold6, but will one of these versions come out, or will both come out? Reportedly, Samsung will scrap the low-cost z Fold6FE version and build a larger version with no support for Z Fold6Slim, S pen. It also supports a wide range of folding functions. On the premium side, there's talk of a high-end Z Fold6Ultra that could be released limited in the US, UK and Australia.

So far, images seen earlier this week and new promotional images do not suggest an internal upgrade. You will have to wait until the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Perhaps both will debut with the Galaxy Watch7.

Samsung is hosting the Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for early May 2024 in Paris, ahead of the Samsung-sponsored Olympic Games on May 7. It has long been speculated that Samsung will get ahead of the game by showing off its new hardware at that event. Hopefully we'll see how many foldable phones Samsung actually has in their hands.
