Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 leak just revealed key missing features

In the last few months, I've come across many interesting leaks and rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. Unfortunately, the latest leak from the FCC's list is deeply

for premium flagship devices like Samsung's upcoming foldable phones, based on FCC certifications released today and discovered by Sam Mobile, neither the Galaxy Z Fold6 nor the Galaxy Z Flip6 seem to support Wi-Fi7.This is a surprising omission given that the Galaxy S24Ultra, released by Samsung earlier this year, has Wi-Fi7 certification.

The Wi-Fi7 was launched in early 2023. The next-generation wireless standard has promised to increase the total bandwidth of the network by more than 4 times, and since its release it has found its way to other devices such as the best routers and phones. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 8GEN3 chipset with Wi-Fi.

The S24Ultra, which is currently available, also comes with a Snapdragon 8GEN3 chip. Many other foldable phones already support Wi-Fi7, such as the OnePlus Open (the entire current OnePlus lineup is Wi-Fi7 certified) and the Vivo X Fold3Pro. Google's Pixel8 and Pixel8Pro also have Wi-Fi7 certification.  Based on the FCC's list, the Galaxy Z Fold6 supports 5G, ultra-wideband, Wi-Fi802.11a/b/g/n/ac/6e, NFC, Bluetooth5.3.

The Galaxy Z Fold is Samsung's best foldable device, comparable to the Galaxy S24Ultra among the premium phones sold by Samsung. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to have the same price as its predecessor, but it seems strange that a phone with that big price tag will skip on Wi-Fi1, 1,799.

There is speculation that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold6Ultra edition, and it is possible that Samsung wants additional features to make its phone stand out. Still, that doesn't adequately explain why phone makers take away the connectivity available on other Samsung devices.

Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 are likely to appear at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which most observers believe will occur on May 7. Next, find out what kind of network support Samsung's most expensive phones are equipped with.
