Nothing Phone CEO Carl Pei may have teased some design changes coming to the company's rumored Nothing Phone (3) flagship device.

Pei, originally reported by Beebom, shared an image of X that allegedly shows a redesigned Quick Settings panel for the upcoming NOTHING OS3. Many were initially interested in the image on the screen of the phone, but soon realized that there is something different in the frame of the device itself. 

At first, it's easy to assume that the phone in the image is Nothing Phone(2), but there's one big difference: 1. On the right side of the screen is a new button that doesn't exist on the current flagship Nothing phone. I don't know much about the button, but given that there was nothing quiet about this subject, I can only guess about its purpose. 

One of the current theories is that the button will be customizable like an action button on iPhone15. This allows the user to set the behavior of the button, such as turning on the torch or performing certain actions within the app. I'm not sure if it's a mechanical button or a capacitive solid state button like the iPhone15Pro. But the customizable buttons fit Nothing's current focus on its Nothing OS's customizable features.

Another potential feature of this button is as a dedicated AI button to trigger ChatGPT on the phone.1 No one has recently released the next generation of headphones, including integration with ChatGPT. With the new integration, users using the latest Nothing OS can long press the stem of their earbuds to speak directly to the ChatGPT app. However, this button could be another means to communicate with AI. 

So far, there's not much to go on, and rumors about Nothing Phone (3) are sparse.
