5 Prime video romance movies with over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes

Romance is just one of the genres I've come back to, especially when I want to make something feel happy on a stormy night.1 I'm a huge horror fan, but I have no problem switching to the soft side of the entertainment industry, with slow burn movies and fascinating comedies to hold my attention. And yes, there are a lot of movies that are not just cheesy romance and unrealistic relationships.

We've collected some of the best romances in Prime Video with the help of Rotten Tomatoes. This review aggregation site contains the consensus of professional critics, but it does not necessarily determine your opinion. Our team will only use it as a guide when choosing which romance movie to watch.

"Música" is a unique romance film that focuses on synesthesia, a neurological condition in which one hears music or sees shapes when processing normal sensory information. A young man named Rudy (Rudy Mancuso) experiences this and it wreaks havoc in his daily life when he is unable to concentrate on his girlfriend or class but one day he meets Isabella (Camila Mendes) and she creates a new song like music in his ear. Now he must find a way to accept love, deal with his condition and manage the pressures of Brazilian culture.

In one of the most beloved romances, Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone), the lowest Poi in their careers, Sebastian wants to be a successful jazz musician, but Mia wants to be an aspiring actress. I want to do it. But their exhausting and tedious work stops them from getting where they need to be in life. "La La Land" shows how these 2 determined people fall in love, but also the meaning of the right person at the wrong time. The harder they work to achieve their dreams, the farther they become as their love begins to shake.

"Past Life" follows the classic romance metaphor of a friend to a lover, but in a much more beautiful way. Deeply connected childhood friends Nora (Greta Lee) and Hae Song (Theo Yoo) have to break up when Nora's family leaves Korea and lives somewhere else. More than 20 years later, they reunite in New York, but Nora is already married to another man. Hesson now has to face thoughts of love and destiny while dealing with his growing feelings for Nora. This hearty modern romance is not what you think, but a film that you have to experience for yourself.

The romance musical West Side Story is an adaptation of the musical in 1957. Steven Spielberg wanted to make something really special about forbidden love at a time when street gangs wanted control. In New York, when Tony (Ansel Elgort) sees Maria (Rachel Zegler) in a school dance, he immediately falls in love. Their growing romance only fuels anger and determination between 2 gangs called Jets and Sharks. But in such passionate love there are always obstacles and there are some dangerous risks. This is a great movie to watch if you need an extra bit of tension.

Throw it back to finding love again in the 1950s, we have "Brooklyn". The film focuses on a young Irish immigrant named Ellis (Saoirse Ronan) who has to find her purpose in Brooklyn. Homesick and somewhat lost, Ellis begins to worry, but when he meets Tony Fiorello (Emory Cohen), that fear quickly disappears. Settling down as a bookkeeper and continuing her blossoming romance with Tony helps her feel at home. All good things, right, but must come to an end. That's especially true for Ellis, as she discovers her sister has died and she must return home. But it instantly strained her new relationship with Tony and caused even more problems
