Star Wars Day is almost upon us. Since it was the fans who created this special day (with the pun "May the Force be with you") that we look forward to every year, it feels great to be a part of the huge community. Lucasfilm and its owner, Disney, approved the anniversary and now there are both official and unofficial celebrations to honor this beloved franchise.

With this special day fast approaching, now is the time to start planning your own celebration. On Star Wars Day, there are plenty of shopping, movie, and TV show deals for you to participate in. Even if you're not a big Star Wars fan, or even if you're not a fan at all, this guide might just draw you over to the dark side.

Some fans also consider May 5 and 6 to be Star Wars days because of the "fifth man's revenge/seventh man's revenge" pun. For those of you who do, let's delve into the movies and deals related to the iconic Sith Lords and villains we love so much.

Star Wars movies and shows in order Want to have a Star Wars marathon this week on Disney Plus? This guide lets you watch movies and shows in order so you don't have to search through the timeline. From classic prequels starring Anakin Skywalker to live-action series like "Ashoka," there's plenty to get you through this month and beyond.

You can also buy or rent individual Star Wars movies on Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play.

"Star Wars: A Tale of the Empire." For fans of May 5 and 6 who want something a little darker, "Tales of the Empire" will fit the bill. The series explores the dark side of the galaxy, focusing on two warriors navigating the Galactic Empire. The two warriors in question are Morgan Elsbeth, a skilled night sister who rose to Grand Admiral Sloane's favor, and Baris Offee, a former Jedi Padawan turned to the dark side. Tales of Empire" will be available on Disney Plus beginning May 4. Tales of the Jedi" can also be seen as part of this anthology series.

"Star Wars: The Acolyte." The Acolyte" is an upcoming series that finally takes a break from the Skywalker saga. While investigating a series of mysterious crimes, Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) is reunited with his former Padawan, May (Amandla Stenberg). Now dangerous warriors, May and Sol find that more sinister forces are at work. The series takes place during the time of the Great Republic, a timeframe not seen in the series so far; stream "The Acolyte" on Disney Plus beginning June 4.

"Star Wars Skeleton Crew" Another series coming to Disney Plus this year is "Skeleton Crew." It focuses on four kids on an adventurous journey across a dangerous galaxy on their way home. They are accompanied by a Force user (played by Jude Law), but that's all we know so far. The premise is exciting enough and definitely worth keeping an eye on in the coming weeks.
