Xbox Game Pass finished the month strong this week with a second batch of exciting titles coming to the subscription service, but the lineup for April 2024 is even stronger with a fantastic Star Wars game coming to the Game Pass library! confirmed and even stronger.

A new post on Xbox Wire confirms that "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" will be added to the EA Play playlist starting Thursday, April 25. Xbox Game Ultimate and PC Game Pass come standard with full EA Play Access is included, so players with either account will be able to dive into the second chapter of Kal Kestis' battle against the empire within 48 hours.

Unfortunately, PlayStation Plus subscribers will not have access to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (at least for now), but if you have a separate EA Play membership on the PlayStation console, you can start playing this blockbuster sequel on Thursday. You can also play it.

Whichever platform you play on, check out Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the 2023 sequel to 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which takes almost everything that's good about its predecessor and adds a notch or two ranks higher.

Set five years after "Fallen Order," you once again play as Kal Kestis, one of the last remaining Jedi Knights trying to escape the clutches of the evil Galactic Empire. Like "The Empire Strikes Back," this sequel takes a slightly darker tone, with Kal and his allies surrounded by threats as they seek safe haven on a mythical planet.

The gameplay is a potent mix of third-person platforming and cinematic combat. The lightsaber moves and combat capabilities have been revamped in Survivor, and the powerful level design of Fallen Order has been recreated in the sequel. Each planet is rife with hidden secrets, and it would take dozens of hours to see them all. In our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, we wrote: "[Star Wars Jedi: Survivor] features satisfying gameplay, stunning graphics, and a thrilling story. Not only is it an accomplished video game, but it also offers a glimmer of hope for the franchise. It's one of the best Star Wars adventures in years."

That sentiment has not changed to this day (although the upcoming Star Wars: Outlaws may challenge for the title of best Star Wars game on current hardware), and the technical problems of the initial launch have been almost completely resolved in the past 12 months This makes now an ideal time to play.
