A series of iPhone 16 rumors from Weibo, spotted by Yeux1122 on the Korean blog site Naver, hint at some exciting upcoming changes. In particular, they are about the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

They first mentioned two supposed new colors for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, Desert Yellow and Cement Gray. Another source described the new color as Rose, but it appears that the signature color this year will be some kind of pink gold, with a new gray/silver option replacing the natural titanium option seen on the iPhone 15 Pro.

Also according to yeux1122, the new iPhone will feature longer battery life, apparently exceeding 30 hours. This is consistent with previous claims that Apple will include a larger battery in both the iPhone 16 Pro model and the standard iPhone 16. As a result, we imagine that this 30-hour claim applies at least to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, since the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have the largest battery.

Speaking of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it will apparently feature a 48MP main camera based on Sony's IMX903 sensor, which will use a combination of one glass and seven plastic lens parts for improved performance. The way this rumor is worded makes it sound like this is not a change that the smaller iPhone 16 Pro will undergo, but while this is unusual, it is not without precedent. Apple has given previous Pro Max iPhones more advanced cameras compared to the Pro, including a dedicated 5x telephoto camera currently on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

yeux1122 also mentions there will be a 2TB storage option for the Pro, something we have heard from previous sources. This is a huge amount of storage for a phone, but could be useful for users who shoot large amounts of photos and videos, especially in Apple's high-density ProRAW and ProRes formats.

Finally, Naver's post repeats the claim that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively. This would be the largest increase in iPhone size since the iPhone 12 series, and since the Pro Max would be larger than any of its Android rivals, it may be the biggest upgrade to this year's iPhone rumored so far.
