iPhone 16 color variations may be the most extensive of any iPhone to date - including two new options

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which will be available later this year, may offer more colors to choose from than ever before, Weibo (via MacRumors) leaker Fixed Focus Digital has newly claimed.

The iPhone 16 Plus will come in white and purple, in addition to the black, blue, green, pink, and yellow already available on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. However, given that Apple has changed colors between iPhone generations in the past, the colors may be different shades from those used in the iPhone 15.

Fixed Focus Digital's Weibo post talks specifically about the iPhone 16 Plus model. However, since Apple has been unifying the colors of the iPhone and iPhone Plus models since the Plus was introduced, one would imagine that this would apply to the standard iPhone 16 as well.

There was no spring color refresh for the iPhone 15 series as seen on previous iPhones, such as the special yellow edition of the iPhone 14. However, even if Apple were to suddenly release new shades, the iPhone 16 series would offer the largest color selection ever in a single model if all of these rumored color options were available.

Another leak confirms what colors may be available for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. This time, the new options are cement gray and desert yellow, or possibly gray and rose, depending on which source you believe, joining space black, which is back from the iPhone 14 Pro.

In any case, it appears that the new Pro model will again have four color options instead of seven base colors. It would be nice if Apple offered more choices for the iPhone 16 Pro, but looking at the lack of choices for the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro, limited color choices for the Pro model seems to be a standard feature across Apple's products.

It will likely be another five months before the iPhone class of 2024 makes its debut. While we wait, we can brush up on possible features with our iPhone 16 Hub and more specific iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max guides.
