Choosing which color of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro doesn't have to be a chore, even if you have a lot of options. We've compiled a list of all the rumored options in one place to make choosing your next iPhone look easy.

If you've been following the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max rumors, you'll know that you have quite a few options. According to rumors, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will come in seven different color options, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have four different options.

Note that even if none of these colors appear, it is possible to purchase a case in a color or design that you find more appealing. However, looking at the iPhone 15 series, it seems unlikely that Apple will release any more new colors in the spring like they did with the iPhone 14, so there seems to be no point in waiting for a halfway decent color release.

But for now, here's what we know about the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro color options.

As mentioned above, the iPhone 16 will be available in seven colors overall, five of which are the same as the iPhone 15. Black, pink, blue, yellow, and green will all be similar to their predecessors, while rumor has it that two new colors, white and purple, will be added.

If the colors are the same as their predecessors, they are expected to be much brighter. For example, the green is closer to a "mint" green and the blue is closer to a sky blue. Unfortunately, we do not know what the two new colors will look like, but they will follow a similar trend in that the purple is much brighter. It is also possible that the white option will be closer to silver than white.

One final note is that the purple and white options are only rumored for the iPhone 16 Plus so far. However, since the base and iPhone Plus models usually share color options, it is unlikely that the options will be locked to the Plus model this time around.

So far, four colors have been rumored for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, three of which are black, white, and gray. However, a fourth color is currently under discussion, which could be either a mix of cement gray and desert yellow or gray and rose.

Space Black is reportedly similar to the iPhone 14 Pro Max's Space Black, while White is reminiscent of the silver option seen on the iPhone 14 Pro. We do not know what color the gray will be, but it may be similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max's Natural Titanium. Sadly, there is no indication that the Blue Titanium color will return.

There are also rumors that the iPhone 16 Pro will do away with the brushed titanium style that was on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Instead, Apple may adopt a smoother, shinier finish. This would mean that the iPhone 16 Pro devices would look like the stainless steel of the past, but would retain the durability derived from titanium. However, this rumor is unfounded at this time and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Now that we have a better idea of color options, we can add them to the table of recent iPhone color options for comparison with phones dating back to the iPhone 12.

It should be mentioned that the above table does not include later iPhone additions, such as the yellow iPhone 14.

The biggest difference is the sheer amount of options available on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. While most other models have about five options, the next generation iPhone has seven. Apple seems to be continuing the trend of keeping the name simpler than older models. While there is always the possibility that some options will be discontinued prior to launch, more color choices are certainly a benefit to consumers.
