New "Bridgerton" Season 3 video previews the film's steamy mirror scene.

Readers of Julia Quinn's "Bridgerton" series already know that mirrors play a sultry role in Penelope Fetherington and Colin Bridgerton's burgeoning romance. And according to Netflix's recent sneak peek, that mirror scene will play out on screen in "Bridgerton" Season 3.

Last week, the Netflix series posted a 30-second teaser on its official social media accounts, in which viewers could see Penelope (Nicolas Coughlan) staring into a mirror in an opulent aqua blue gown. Her longtime friend and lover Colin (Luke Newton) comes up behind her and the two hold hands as they catch each other's gaze in the mirror." Surely a look like this by Colin Bridgerton would make even the most alluring wallflower swoon?"

reads the caption, and the streamer cheekily adds "POLIN LOADING" in the comments, referring to the beloved "Bridgerton" couple's fan name.

The fresh clip also reminds fans of the new season's release date, with episodes dropping in two batches on Netflix: the first four episodes will debut on Thursday, May 16, followed by the final four on Thursday, June 13.

Ahead of the new episodes, several teasers have been released: the February 2024 promo features an actual conversation between Penelope and Colin, with Penelope blaming the gentleman for comments he made about her to friends near the end of the second season. And a clip released last month spotlighted another "Bridgerton" couple, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and Colin's brother Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).

As "Bridgeman" fans know, each season spotlights a different couple from this series written by Julia Quinn. The first season followed the romance between Bridgeman's eldest daughter Daphne (Phoebe Dinever) and Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings (Leger-Jean Page), while the second season introduced Kate and Anthony's relationship. The third season, however, switched the order of the novels and skipped to the story of Penelope and Colin from the fourth "Bridgeman" novel, Romancing Mister Bridgerton.

If all goes according to plan, the third "Bridgerton" novel, "An Offer From A Gentleman" (which delves into the relationship drama of Colin's artist brother Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), will reportedly be adapted for future seasons of the period drama reportedly.

Jess Brownell, the new "Bridgerton" showrunner from Season 3, told Entertainment Weekly about the sibling switchover, "It's a great opportunity for me to see the siblings in a new light. We've seen Penn's crush and Colin's obliviousness to it. You can't play out this relationship for so long that something has to change. This time around, I felt it was the right time to deepen the relationship between the two of them. On Benedict's part, he is such a fun character and a fan favorite that we are very excited to play with him a little more and have more fun with him before he settles down."

While we wait for new episodes of Season 3, stay tuned to Tom's Guide for more "Bridgerton"-related updates, including the upcoming POLIN teaser.
