Apple has not officially announced the iPad Pro 2024, but rumors suggest that the tablet could be released just before WWDC 2024. If true, it would replace the iPad Pro 2022, as Apple is not releasing a new iPad in 2023. While we won't know for sure what has changed between the iPad Pro 2022 and iPad Pro 2024 until the iPad Pro 2024 arrives, we have heard rumors about a new OLED display, a faster M3 chip, and other upgrades. There have been rumors for some time that Apple will upgrade the iPad Pro with an OLED display. According to Bloomberg reporter and Apple informant Mark Gurman, the panels should be "crisper and brighter" and "reproduce colors more accurately.

The display is expected to be "much brighter" and "more color accurate.

Related to the topic of displays, Garman also said that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro could be upgraded to a 13-inch screen. However, the 11-inch model will not be increased in size. Given that the iPad Pro 2022 has an Apple M2 chip, one would expect its successor to have an Apple M3 processor. If true, the iPad Pro will be the most powerful iPad ever, potentially leaving all competing tablets behind in terms of performance.

The M3 chip uses TSMC's 3nm process, which offers significant improvements in efficiency and speed, as seen in the MacBook Pro 14-inch M3, MacBook Air 13-inch M3, and MacBook Air 15-inch M3. If the iPad Pro M3 brings the kind of performance gains seen between the MacBook M2 and M3, it may not be a radical advance. But if you are using an iPad with an M1 or earlier, the performance gains should be significant.
