5 Prime Video Shows at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

The selection of TV series on Prime Video is dizzying, including originals, library titles, and foreign productions. If you're looking for a new show, the choices may be too much to handle, unless you opt for the newest titles that appear at the top of the app. Then it's always helpful to have a critic who makes a living watching TV to give you a little guidance.

Among critically acclaimed series, it is even rarer for a show to receive a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating universal support from all the critics featured. Such is the case with the five shows on Prime Video that received the highest support from critics, including comedy, drama, animation, and science fiction.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge created and starred in the series that first brought her to international attention. Critics immediately responded to Waller-Bridge's humor and insight, giving both seasons of Fleabag a 100% freshness rating. She plays the title character (who does not have an official name), a single woman with no prospects living in London who often engages in self-destructive behavior and is unable to find a stable relationship or income. She hurls barbs at the audience that demean everyone in her life, including herself.

The supporting cast includes Olivia Colman as the passive-aggressive stepmother in "Fleabag" and Brett Gelman as the unsympathetic stepbrother. Andrew Scott got his breakthrough in the second season as a handsome and charming priest.

Many critics may have been skeptical when Amazon announced that the classic 1990s sketch comedy series "The Kids in the Hall" would be revived for Prime Video, but the Canadian comedy collective has been hilarious proved the skeptics wrong with a hilarious and highly rated new season. The Kids' five members (Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin MacDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson) are reviving familiar characters and concepts while exploring new material that often deals with aging and nostalgia.

But the bottom line is that Kids is as funny as ever, and this eight-episode season rivals the original run of rewatchable sketches that American fans first discovered on cable television. Along with comedy groups like Monty Python, it is further proof that they belong in the pantheon of comedy groups.

The roots of many teen comedies and dramas of the streaming era can be traced back to this cult classic NBC series. Successful writer/director/producers Paul Feig and Judd Apatow also got their start with this series inspired by Feig's own teenage years: set in the early 1980s, "Freaks and Geeks" follows Lindsay Weir (Linda Cardellini) and her brother Sam (John Francis Daley) embody the two high school factions of the title.

The cast also includes James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, and Busy Philipps in early roles playing Lindsay and Sam's classmates. Critics immediately praised the show's humor and authenticity, and although it was canceled after only one season, its legacy remains strong nearly 25 years later.

Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, and Zack Snyder combined have yet to match the influence this 1990s animated series had on modern depictions of Batman and his supporting characters. Much of its enduring popularity owes to its child-friendly yet ambitious, complex, and often dark approach, which appealed to adults (including critics) during its original broadcast and continues to appeal to adult fans who first saw it as children.

Kevin Conroy is often cited as the greatest actor to ever play Batman. The film also features some of the character's defining voice actors, including Mark Hamill as the Joker and Arlene Sorkin as Harley Quinn, who was first created for the series. It's perfect for both new viewers who want to explore the history of the superhero genre and veteran fans who want to revisit a classic. Watch on Prime Video

This obscure one-season series on Syfy is waiting to be rediscovered. Based on the comic book series by Magdalene Visaggio and Jason Smith, "Queen of the Vagabonds" stars Adrian Rae as a member of galactic royalty on the run as a scavenger after his family is wiped out by a cruel conqueror in this endearing, rugged space Adventure.

"Queen of the Vagabonds" is a colorful, campy production featuring great chemistry between Lai and genre favorite Tim Rozon, who plays her odious smuggler nemesis, an earthling from Canada who is mysteriously transported to this distant galaxy. Critics responded to the show's goofy charm and hilarious antics, and viewers who missed it on Syfy will have a chance to do the same.
