Samsung's next high-end foldable phone could have two major improvements that will enhance its appeal.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will ship with the same anti-reflective Gorilla Glass Armor protection that Samsung debuted on its Galaxy S24 line earlier this year, reports serial leaker @kro_roe, citing people claiming to know Samsung's plans

The move could be noteworthy for folding phone fans, given how important the Galaxy S24's features are: with the help of the Gorilla Glass Armor coating, Samsung is claiming that glare and reflection issues in bright environments will be greatly reduced, making the device easier to use outside.

However, unlike the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is foldable. It is unclear if the Gorilla Glass Armor protection will work with the foldable screen or if the additional coating could be a problem when folded.

According to Leeker, however, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 display is not the only update Samsung is focusing on this year. The company also reportedly plans to offer 12GB and 16GB options with this year's model, making it the first Samsung foldable with 16GB of RAM. And with up to 1TB of storage rumored to be on board, all indications are that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will offer the kind of specs one would expect from a high-end device. [Despite reports that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a larger screen than the Galaxy Z Fold 5, there are also reports that it will be redesigned with a more premium look and a slightly smaller footprint. In addition, Samsung is reportedly planning a significant power boost thanks to its plans to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in this year's handset. In terms of the camera, however, Samsung is not planning many - if any - changes.

Speaking of Samsung, the company has been tight-lipped about its plans for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and has not even said that the device will be available this year. However, according to some reports, Samsung will hold its next Unpacked event in July, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to make an appearance at that show.
