PS5 gets a major upgrade, helps you beat your favorite games

Capturing gameplay with built-in tools has been part of the experience for the last few generations of game consoles. Sony hopes to turn capturing gameplay into something more useful with its newly announced "Community Game Help" feature for the PlayStation 5. Essentially, the feature will provide clips and tips from other players to help you get through difficult moments in video games coming out later this year.

The integration of video help into the console will make finding solutions much more accessible than searching YouTube. What's more, clips are automatically captured, so players who successfully complete a difficult part of the game don't have to do anything extra to help a fellow PlayStation gamer. Of course, since it is an opt-in system, there is no need to worry about your gameplay clips being submitted to the helpful clips.

If you opt-in, PS5 will automatically record game clips whenever you successfully complete an activity in a supported game. For example, if you defeat a difficult boss in an upcoming "Dark Souls" game, the footage will be captured, reviewed by a moderator, and published as a game help tip for other players to watch and learn from.

Game developers can also participate by capturing helpful clips that can be used to direct players to secret or difficult areas in the game.

The help videos can be viewed on the PlayStation app, allowing players to see how to break through stuck areas without leaving the game open on the console.

Sony has stated that this feature is expected to launch "within the next few months."

Once this feature is launched, you can agree to share your gameplay captures through the following settings:

If you change your mind and do not wish to participate in the program, you can opt out of automatically sharing your gameplay by reversing the above You can also opt out of the program by reversing the above. Again, these options are not yet offered and will not be launched for several months, so they will not appear on your PS5 yet.

Sabrina Meditz, Sony's senior director of product management for the PS5 platform experience, said, "Community game help will be available for some games later this year and will be expanded to as many titles as possible in the future Our goal is to expand it to as many titles as possible in the future."
