First up is Jesse Eisenberg's directorial debut, When You Finish Saving the World.

Ziggy, played by "Stranger Things" star Finn Wolfhard, is a 17-year-old aspiring folk singer who has built up a devoted online following through live streaming, much to the consternation of her uptight mother Evelyn (Julianne More). Evelyn, who runs a shelter for victims of domestic abuse, is a professional communicator with troubled teens at work, but at home she struggles with her own son; as tensions rise between the two, Evelyn desperately tries to raise the unassuming teenager at the shelter and Meanwhile, Ziggy struggles to be liked by the girls in his class.

Zelda Williams, daughter of legendary comedian Robin Williams, teams up with Diablo Cody of "Jennifer's Body" in this hilarious adaptation of the monster movie classic.

"Lisa Frankenstein," starring Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse, revolves around an unlikely romance between a socially outcast teenager (Newton) and the corpse of a Victorian man who died 150 years ago (Sprouse). . This odd duo embarks on a journey of self-discovery in search of love, happiness, and lost body parts. While the film may have received little response from critics, audiences enthusiastically embraced the film's eccentricities and it became a cult favorite.

Like many big franchises, the "Minion Crisis" series is in the prequel stage. The latest "Minions": the latest film, "Minions: The Rise of Gru," follows Felonius Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), a young aspiring supervillain, as he meets the Minions and becomes the world's most despicable team.

Of course, it wouldn't be a coming-of-age story without some growing-up pains. Gru auditions for the Vicious Six, a diabolical supervillain team that has just fired its leader, Wild Knuckles (Alan Arkin). Unable to secure a seat with the heroes, Gru decides to become their enemy instead. The film also features the voices of Taraji P. Henson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Jean Clau and Russell Brand.

Blumhouse's latest horror horror film, "Imaginary," landed on video-on-demand services this week after making its theatrical debut earlier this month. It received a 25% critics score (55% audience score) on Rotten Tomatoes.

This supernatural spookiness imagines what might happen if children's imaginary friends were not only real, but their creators resented being left behind when they inevitably grew up. When the protagonist, a young woman named Jessica (DeWanda Wise), returns to her childhood home with her new husband, she discovers a disturbing truth about her long-forgotten imaginary friend, Chauncey the Bear. He is plotting to steal the soul of Jessica's stepdaughter, Alice (Piper Brown).

Directed by Sebastián Borensztein and adapted from Martin Baintrub's novel "Descansar en paz," "Rest in Peace" is a Spanish drama thriller set in Argentina.

As his debts mount and his health problems worsen, he seizes an opportunity created by coincidence and unexpected developments and disappears. For years, he lives in seclusion under a false identity, but a fortunate discovery rekindles his curiosity about his remaining family. When he finally makes the painful decision to return, the reality he faces is far from what he expected.
