A feature recently mentioned in a deleted X post by Evan Bless, a known tipster, may solidify this position.

According to a 9to5 Google report, "Circle to Search" is a new Google-powered feature for the Galaxy S24 series. The report explains that this feature can search any image, video, or text on the screen. This is done by circling, highlighting, doodling, or even tapping on something of interest, without the need to take a screenshot.

The actual post is somewhat brief on how it works, but speculation is that this is a new form of Google Lens. But instead of capturing the photo yourself with a screenshot, you can always do it directly from the source you are looking at on the screen.

Currently, there is no information on how this feature will be activated, but it is likely that the S Pen will perform some function. There is also no information on whether this feature will be available on all models or limited to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Samsung not only wants to push AI capabilities in its phones, but also wants a closer potential relationship with Google's software. We recently heard that the Galaxy S24 could offer users the opportunity to swap AI assistance with Google's Bard (ChatGPT) and potentially offer a wealth of new features for the phone.

We have heard a lot over the past few months about what the phone could enable. The Galaxy S24 is reportedly capable of translating while on a call and organizing notes and scribbles. The big push, however, is the camera. Supposedly Samsung Gauss is the reported name of the AI system, which will allow users to delete elements of photos and videos or upgrade the quality of both at the touch of a button.

Circle to Search is an interesting feature that will no doubt make using the phone somewhat easier. The next few days will prove whether Samsung's push for AI will increase sales. Only when the phones are launched and we have the opportunity to see the numbers and test the phones ourselves will we know for sure.
