OnePlus Watch 2 hinted at launch at MWC 2024.

Rumors of the OnePlus Watch 2 have been heard for some time now, along with the possibility of its arrival this year. According to new rumors, the wearable will be unveiled at MWC 2024 in late February.

This comes from Max Jambor of X/Twitter and repeats past rumors that it will be powered by Google's Wear OS. Unfortunately, Jambor has not revealed any details about the OnePlus Watch 2, but if he is correct, it means we won't have to wait too long to learn more.

MWC is only a little over a month away, taking place February 26-29 in Barcelona, and MWC is a special show dedicated to showcasing new mobile technologies and is the perfect place for large companies to launch their new products. That said, given that the OnePlus 12 launches tomorrow (January 23), it is not clear why the watch would be delayed another few weeks.

Let's hope the OnePlus Watch 2 announcement is a bit more impressive than OnePlus' announcement at MWC 2023 (which was tantamount to promising a folding version by the end of the year.) The OnePlus Open was introduced last year, but learning a bit more about it at this show would It would have been nice.

Rumors since last fall suggest that the OnePlus Watch 2 will come in a round form factor and could run on the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 wearable platform. Other hardware features are said to include a couple buttons, a crown, and fist-clasp gestures. It is also rumored to include health-focused features such as DCG, blood oxygen, stress, sleep tracking, and general fitness features.

Unlike the phone, OnePlus has not teased us with details about its upcoming smartwatch. But that may be about to change now that the international launch of the OnePlus 12 is just around the corner and MWC is just a few weeks away. Until then, check out the OnePlus Watch 2 hub for more details on all that this wearable may offer.
