Watching the new musical adaptation of "Mean Girls" at home is very trendy. The Tony-nominated adaptation of the Broadway musical has been a hit with critics and fans alike, and for fans who can't get enough of the Plastics and their territory as depicted in the original 2004 film, it has been transformed into something they can sing along to on the big screen.

Those who couldn't make it to the cinema to sing "World Burn" have no choice but to sing "World Burn" in theaters now. Right now, the only way to see the new "Mean Girls" adaptation is to buy a movie ticket at a physical theater, but we expect that to change soon.Where To Stream is reporting that "Mean Girls" (2024) will be released on February 20, 2024 on pay video on demand and that it will be released on That means we will soon be able to watch Regina George and her team sing from our couches.

The musical comedy is based on the 2004 film of the same name and follows teen Cady Heron (Angourie Rice) as she leaves her Kenyan hometown to attend public school for the first time. The "Plastics" at North Shore High School are Regina George (Rene Rapp), Karen Shetty (Avantika), and Gretchen Weiners (Bebe Wood). Regina and the girls rule the school with an iron fist, but when the girls say a friendly "you can sit with us" to Cady, she turns her back on her newfound friends in an attempt to infiltrate their power over the school and its students. If only she doesn't turn into a mean girl in the process.

You can currently pre-order the film on Amazon, but despite rumors, there is still no official date when you can sing along to "Mean Girls" in your living room at home. Read on to find out everything we know about when "Mean Girls" will dance its way to streaming.

"Mean Girls" (2024) should be distributed to Paramount Plus after its theatrical release. Since Paramount Pictures is the distributor of the original 2004 version of "Mean Girls" and this musical adaptation, the film is sure to make a fair appearance on the brand's streaming platform once its theatrical run, which began on January 12, is complete.

While there has been no official statement from Paramount yet, other Paramount productions have followed the same pattern in the past, and it would be unusual if they did not. Given that "Mean Girls" is currently only available for streaming, this new musical version will probably also appear on the service as an alternative companion.

But when will that be? Again, there is no official information, but if it follows the 45-day release cycle that is common when a film goes to streaming after its theatrical release.

So even though it is still a week away from appearing on PVOD services, "Mean Girls" (2024) is expected to appear on Paramount Plus by the end of February or early March. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" arrived at Paramount Plus just 19 days after it was released on the PVOD streaming service.
